Baghdad. It's all part of Petraeus' ingenious counterinsurgency strategy.
"Cooperate with the US, Moqtada, or we'll not protect you from the man-eating badgers. Man-eating badgers? They don't give a shit about IEDs. They'll come eat your fucking brains, and after that it's no 72 virgins, sucka."

Unclear. Be afraid.

My point here is that farm subsidies are an issue that you would expect to be regional, cutting across the parties (since neither party seems to be particularly strong in farm states). I would expect the prospects to be better in the House, since D districts tend to be urban rather than rural, since the D's have a wider majority, and since Pelosi is not exactly beholden to a farm constituency, Ratatouille aside. Nor is Read, for that matter. But the Senate is split so narrowly that Reid has to pick his shots carefully.

3 bullet holes in his forehead fired from 10 yards away? That's from the Pentagon, not from Ty.

Special forces don't mess around when they see what they think is the enemy.

even Ty's blog doesn't claim that as a fact. but. okay, he was murdered because (even though no one had heard of him before he died) once he came back he was going to have a press conference and denounce the Iraq war.
Do you guys not see how you degrade the memory of the man?

That evidence suggest that either our special forces guys are really, really good, or really, really bad at what they do. I'm not sure which gives me more comfort.

It's an AP story quoting Army documents.

Huh? Neither the blog Ty linked nor the AP story says these things, far as I can tell. You been trolling on Kos again?

I tend to agree with you that the murder angle seems unlikely, but "no one had heard of him before he died"? It was national news when he enlisted.
