I had a friend in college who lied all the time. About stupid stuff. I think just to see if she could get away with it. [Well, in fairness, she was also very depressed and completely undiagnosed.] She eventually dropped out of school after she had alienated all of her friends (one of the things she was lying about was whether or not she was showing up to take tests in her classes). A quick Google search indicates that she went to UK (Kentucky, not England), joined a band there and got married while on air to a dj at the college radio station there. Gotta love the internet.

There was a locally famous compulsive liar a class before me in law school. During interviews with law firms he told them about his extensive foreign travel, stealing stories out of National Geographic since he'd never been abroad at all. He became a D.A., but during divorce proceedings and a custody battle his wife turned him in for all the stolen property he possessed - turned out he'd emptied the closets of the art museums from every school he'd ever been out. I understand he's now on his second tour of a secure facility, having gotten out, gotten a job, and promptly begun emptying their accounts into his.

Sounds like a guy I knew in college who was fond of filing false insurance claims on his personal property (expensive watches, jewelry, etc.) and vehicles. He would up getting pinched during his 4th year, and did some time in the poke. The best of all of this is that he would tell anyone who would listen that his ambition in lisf was to become a federal judge.

Did you actually get a new curtain? Because if it was just a liner, you're getting us all worked up over nothing.

I would hope both, though I'm a little sad thinking about someone using just a liner. I'm also wondering what kind of color/pattern he got. That was kind of a lame post, huh. Not nearly enough information.

I knew a guy in law school who claimed to have been one of the guys who parachuted into Grenada at 2 am to begin the invasion. He also may or may not have been CIA. No one could figure out if he was telling the truth about anything.
All we knew for sure was that he never attended class, but always did really well on exams. He ended up having to stay an extra year because he hadn't spent enough time in class to qualify under ABA regs. Or so he said. At least, he went to class a whole lot more often during that fourth year (my third year). He summered and started at pretty prestigious firms, but I think never managed to take the bar or something like that. I have no idea what happened to him; Martindale doesn't have him listed, and his name (assuming it is, actually, his name) is common enough that Google isn't much help.
He also had hair plugs, which may be indicative of something in the honesty department.
There was also a guy one of my first-year roommates was dating, a holdover from college. He claimed to be really wealthy, but turned out not to be anything of the sort, and also not to have been a student at her university after all. For me the gig was up when he brought over a batch of tiramisu supposedly made by his family's cook, but very obviously purchased from a deli--I mean, what rich family with servants keeps disposable aluminum pans around to send treats to their son's girlfriend?

Hey, we use just a liner (a transparent clear one) and it is great. I makes a smallish bathroom feel much bigger.

I think both of you are compulsively lying. And I thought you were tall or whatever. If you are making the small bathroom look bigger, that would tend to indicate that you are undersized not supersized.

I have a plastic shower curtain in my guest bathroom. No liner. Or all liner. Depending on how you look at it.
Of course I never shower there, so what do I care?* Glass shower door all the way, baaaby.
And Slave thought this was a good conversation for the board why?
*and, Coltrane, I'm hot.

You don't have doors? My marble shower has a glass door. And a phone in the toilet. And my cook buys extra aluminum containers for the leftover tiramisu, but the gardener usually eats the leftovers.
