 | If this is truly the case, please exchange your avatar of the average Miss Pitt for someone a little hotter.

Salma Hayek comes to mind. Perhaps Alyssa Milano [the Cookie]

Otherwise, it aint workin' |

 | Eh, maybe not that one, but Jennifer Aniston is hot (hot enough to be on my list). |

 | This would be the perfect place for a "cite, please?" but for the delay in posting.

On another note, Conan apologizes to Canada . Is the truth in the subtitles?
Edited to remove offending comma.

As a purely random aside, here's a review of Loch Dhu not written by Hank since this guy says TISUWWI. |

 You absolutely must see this.
This link takes you to a forum, sort of like this, but someone has posted pictures of his/her mom's house. When you click on the link, begin to scroll down, no need to register. It's quite compelling when you start to read the narration and see the pictures.

It's a "holy crap" story.

I just start feeling comfortable here and ready to come out of my shell, and voice my first real opinion here- I thought one that would make me seem in with the in crowd- an alcohol post!
Then Davbe brings in the post of some nameless blogger to make my opinion seem stupid, crushing my initial steps towards being able to post freely about how I really feel:

Dave mocks my first voice.

 | I'm intrigued too but probably for different reasons. The subtitle deal seems weird and I haven't been watching or reading any of Mel's interviews. What did he say when Diane Sawyer asked him who killed Jesus? I don't know what kind of student of theology Mel is -- my answer would be that she was asking the wrong question. The question should be something more like whose fault it is and the answer is all of us. Jesus allowed himself to be killed (what kind of pussy God could be involuntarily killed?) to atone for our sins. The death and resurrection was the plan for reconciling us to God. If that doesn't come through clearly in the movie, I'll be disappointed. |

The purchase of a new shower curtain and towels must mean you're really worried about Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. (BTW, it took me 5 minutes to get that post. A little slow today.) |

 | Do you have annual drafts? I think you should set up a FB death pool (a death pool with FB players, not when FBerswill stick a spoon in the wall). |

				AI & Bachelorette

 SPOILER

Well, unlike last week, America's top 3 was also my top 3. I was a little surprised that Lisa Leuschner didn't make it through; much as I like Matt Rose Bowl, I wasn't expecting him to beat either of the gals. I'll be watching for her and Jennifer Hudson, my pick from last week, to come back in the wild card round.

I noticed that just one of the Mormon boys is in next week's group--I had thought they might put them together like the Roman boys. We'll see how it goes. So far this year the women are just sooooooo much stronger than the men.

Re: the Bachelorette, her pick to dump couldn't have been much more predictable. No job, lives with his mom, has to seriously think about his answer to "Are you a sexual person?"--there really wasn't much going right for Chad, and both the other boys had great chemistry and smooth conversations with her.
