It pains me to say it (like a hot poker in the eye), but it was genius.

I just figured it would be someone else. Let's just hope that they don't try to put his ugly mug in those shitty Visa ads with damn Jeter and stoneman Steinbrenner. I used to kinda like Jeter (despite the uniform) and now I just think he needs to go away for a little while.
And why do ad people think that folks want to see ads with players from teams in other markets? I know all about the claims that the Yankees are "worldwide" but I bet there are people who say "who the fuck is Derek Jeter and who is that no-acting fatass white dude with him" when they see that commercial -- give us something local that we can relate to and quit playing into the "Yankees are fucking gods" thing.

Look, after a few decades, you'll do just about anything to win. Mayor Mennino would have ridden a bucking bronco in Fenway to show support for this team. The silver lining is that we'll stop hearing that (I hope) now.
Red Sox fans are good at losing. And for all Grady Littles' faults, you've got to hand to to Torre. He managed every angle, and there were no toddlers among the Yankees last night. Unlike many past Red Sox chokes, that was a game the Yankees won, not one the Red Sox lost.

I dont think the Sox lost or the Yanks won. I think Boston's chances died when Assflakes and JHo showed up at a game last week. Everything they touch dies.

Wrong. Boone, like all Yankess, the greatest team ever, is a team player and has a lot of heart. He knows that Enrique Wilson has some freakishly good record against Pedro and that he would go in late. Nothing humliating about it. And thats the attitude that elevates the Yanks over a team like the Braves. Its money plus.

Except media interest in their relationship...and her ass....and their "love." Here is hoping that their careers finally realize that they are dead and quit trying.
I read an article the other day that said he accepted some United Way (?) award recently and said something about his beautiful girlfriend. Girlfriend? Hmmm, no more fiancee? I'll post a link if I get bored enough to go and look for it.

The link is still on the cnn page if anyone really cares. I think it is funny that the guy can get a headline by calling her girlfriend. Horrors! He can call her booty call for all I care.

Did you ever see a show (I think it was sort of popular in the 90's) called Seinfeld?

I watch sports and news. And I know who the fatass white dude is, I just think a lot of non-baseball people outside of NYC don't.

We've got way too much experience...
I am so tired of this. I am so tired of this. I am so tired of this.
Well, at least I'll get some shit done now that I don't have to watch any more baseball...

Boston Red Sox fan's lament
It almost (I said almost) made me feel sorry for the BS fans:
"Every year you know they'll probably lose, but every year they suck you back in, and every year they crush you like a tiny bug," said 25-year-old Aric Egmont, summing up the angst of being a Red Sox fan."

Welcome to Baseball Infamy
Now that you each have taken on your new honorary middle names, Grady Fucking Little, Aaron Fucking Boone and Steve Fucking Bartman, meet Bucky Fucking Dent, Billy Fucking Buckner and Billy Fucking Goat... I know, I know, you don't deserve this. That's what they all say, but this is baseball and the fans (derived from fanatics) are rarely rational about things like this. Better get used to it (for the rest of your days)...
Speaking of music over PA's, I can only hope that the PA operators at Comiskey can refrain from playing "Do the Bartman" during next year's Cubs/Sox series. Of course, these are the same people who played a Whitesnake song for then-Indians pitcher Chuck Finley after his estranged wife Tawny Kitaen (ex-wife of Whitesnake's lead singer and featured in the video for the song) beat the crap out of him...

I think lots of people outside of NYC know exactly who he is, courtesy of Seinfeld.

I have no use for it, but maybe someone here will --
And by the way, for those who are concerned about Pamela's views on the tough issues, she is now urging a boycott of KFC.

I assume her concern with KFC is not that it injects chemicals into the chickens to plump up certain parts.......
