I think if he'd have just fired obnoxious fat-ass when he said he was responsible and should be fired then they would have been about 10 minutes short on the show. Carolyn showed her softer side this week by driving around and at least trying to talk Verna out of leaving the show. I would have let her go. She's not long for this contest anyway. She claims to have gone to college, but she's never pulled an all-nighter? Come on.
Agreed--even though she was on the winning team, there was no "comeback" She should have been fired for quitting despite the fact the team won. Then fire brian right off. if he can fire people without consulting, why even converse? If he can fire two people in one week, why not fire a quitter?

BTW, when did Carolyn get in on the snide remarks and looks? After she published Carolyn 101 ?

So far, the Apprentice has been much better than Idol. We are still going from city to city listening to the shit of each. And the delusional. Some have been a little amusing, but no William Hung. The best part so far have been the celebrity judges. Gene Simmons has been the best so far - he's totally honest and a little harsh. Matches well with the saccharin of Paula-I'm-a-little-heavier-this-year-but-I'm-still-wearing-clingy-clothes Abdul.

The Apprentice is pitting the high-schoolers against the college grads. My feeling is that they found the biggest loser college grads and yet another bowtie guy to go against a bunch of alpha-type high schoolers. The high schoolers all hate each other and will not be bossed around - which makes for good TV. The college grads seems like former or current stoners. The token lawyers have no personality and the one lawyer dresses like a gay biker.

Verna and Brian, two of the worst reality tv contestants in history.

First up? Verna. What the fuck? She quits because people were focused on getting the rooms ready and she was incapable of handling customer service by herself? Jesus. Buy some bagels, some papers and coffee, some mints for the pillows and shut the fuck up.

Here's what I don't get: Trump credit her with making a comeback. She didn't make a comeback. She decided not to quit. I comeback would have been if she returned and worked hard to turn around the ever-so-accurate perception that she is an inept, loopy, over-sensitive princess, who left her meds at home. Why do they always pick a crazy-ass black woman?

Next? Brian. Nothing really to say. Complete loser. Inferiority complex mixed with a large dose of Napoleon complex. But what the fuck happened in the board room? "Fire me, please." Excuse me? And then he stays around and argues with everyone anyway. If you're going to go out, you might as well have told Carol to fuck off when she told you to watch your mouth anyway. (I fucking hate Carol.) While you're at it, you could have told Trump to take a flying leap too. At least you'll be remembered.

The accountant woman will go before Verna. The real estate woman is my favorite (with the tall guy who won the first challenge a close second). She tells it like it is.

TM
Which one is the real estate woman? The one who argued with Brian and then subjected those other two to the shouting in the van has got to go. What is with these peole who have to be the center of drama all the time? Shut up and make friends and you'll stay in the game longer. No?

I too like the guy who won week 1. He even tried to help Little Ceasar out this week, and the pud told him off.

I'm ready for Polyester Sunshine to leave too, though they'll probably keep him for a while. He makes better tv than most.

The lawyer chick with the bad black hair annoys me also. Get her out already. Not many hot chicks on this one. One of the women on the van was. That's all I've seen.

Nobody else can understand this apparently. If you bring to bring home another jewish guy for your MMF, the original jewish guy will likely hide under the covers if AJG is better hung than OJG. Don't do it unless you are willing to have OJG run off.

Kristen. That was funny, when she was told to just shut up already and then still she couldn't shut up.

The lawyer guy says that's his weakness. The hot chicks. Hm.
If she would just keep her hair out of her face.

I don't watch AI, so no input on that one. I like the street smarts vs. book smarts format for this year's Apprentice. I agree that the book smarts people don't seem overwhelmingly smart. And I hate the lawyer chick with the black hair. What is up with that hair? When she does the bangs thing, it is awful.

I'd say worth the watch. It is in the top 3 for shows I'm watching right now (with TAR and Project Runway).

online dating update

I am getting inundated with messages from people I would not go out with in juan meeelyun years. If there is anyone out there who has done this online dating thing, is the proper etiquette to respond to each one with a "no thanks"? Or can I just not respond? I don't want to be rude. thanks.

You don't have to respond. Just be glad they're not sending you pictures of their penii.

They're not to the competition parts yet, so it hasn't seemed worth it to post a rundown. Not much that interesting has happened, though there have been some pathetic/entertaining train wrecks (like that guy who said he was Toni Braxton's cousin? Oy.).

There was one girl they put through last week who looked, at her stated age of sixteen, to already have had a number of procedures done, including collagen lips and something around her eyes. She also had way frightening makeup and overplucked eyebrows. I was hoping one of the judges would say something about please, please please leaving her face alone for the rest of the competition.

GOod lord, is anything more hick and secretarial looking than a bad set of bangs? I was off site at a meeting of high level lawyers and finance types (the baked in people) and tghere is this one gal with the bangs. Who hired her? These arent mom and pop shops either but High Level Legal and Financial Establishments. Of course, Bangs and I are two of the only three women in a rather large group of people.

I didnt see TAR last week. Can someone recap?

Kristen lived in my town growing up. Her mom was a local horse trainer. I haven't watched the show yet. Is she annoying?

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
