 | Tofurky is pretty good. My family serves it everything thanksgiving, along with traditional turkey. The OM likes the tofurky deli slices, but I prefer light line.

Gardenburger has a whole line of prepared stuff that's great -- herb crusted cutlets, riblets, etc. Also, whole foods deli has an herb crusted field roast that reminds me excellent fried chicken.

 | Yes, tying threads together, notwithstanding Pam Anderson's boycott, KFC has a fried meat substitute product that reminds me of fried chicken.

General Tso's cat also reminds me a lot of chicken.

Friend in a bad relationship and wedding gift question
First, two friends that have been dating for 2 years and fight ALL the time. She continues to come to us for advice when they "take breaks" and then she always goes back to him... We've stopped telling her (about 1.5 years ago) our true feelings about their relationship (we like them each individually a lot) because she always goes back...well now it's getting ridiculous...
So, question is: Would you tell her your true feelings about their relationship? (we run in the same circles, she is my friend, he is BF's friend)

Then on to happier thoughts, I'm looking to purchase my friend an unique wedding album for the pictures that friends took at the wedding. Any thoughts? (if available online, even better for this patch dweller).

 Thanks.

 | Thats funny. One of my critters went apeshit over my fakin bacon.

I was just browsing vegan cookbooks including the peta celebrity cookbook (confidential to Slave- Charlize is a vegan). Found something called vegan planet and something called vegan meditteranean dishes that have the most fabulous sounding dishes. i would be a full time vegan if it didnt require cooking one's everymeal since there is no kentuchy fried tempeh chain.

and did you know that one million chickens with a side of injected hormones and chemicals are eaten every hour by the disgusting vultures in our country? No wonder men go bald, get hairy and develop mantits. |

Don't forget he had a $1.5m bankroll for the project (not including land). Makes things a bit easier.

But it does take cojones to do this. One can just imagine her walking in the front door for the first time, and having that look of the trading spaces families when they see hay bales on their wall. "You know I hate green . . . and where will the kids play . . . and you smell " |

 | Ugh. No win situation for you. If you sit by quietly while she bitches, you are not being supportive. If you tell her how you feel, she will move away from you a little further each time she gets back together with him. Been there recently. No longer friends. Maybe someday we'll hook back up. I tried a hybrid approach - let her know once clearly what your true feelings are, then stand by and see what happens. the problem is that at some point the drama makes the friendship just sorta not worth the effort. |

 | Hasn't Friends done this I hate your SO hypo to death? Here is what will happen. The thing that troubles you about the relationship will come to trouble your friend. then your friend will dumpthe guy and then your friend will find out that you never approved in the first place. |
