After a couple days the knee didn't hurt anymore but the ankle was still achy. It got so it only ached when I was particularly active. In retrospect, I should have gone to the doctor but after I picked up a nasty antibiotic-resistant staph bacteria at the ER last summer, I like to avoid doctors.
I spent a long day Sat. on my feet and it started aching again. I really thought it should be healed by now.
Questions: Does it make any sense to go to a doctor now or is it too late to do any good? Is there something I can do to strengthen my ankle so it gets better?

more importantly, has Sebby sent you his card yet?

this is not producing anything close to a hot picture to my mind. too many people involved. It comes off as sort of a "we are so out there" field trip from the 'burbs. Yes, I know you live in the city.

It's not too late to toll the statute of limitations.
Have you been exercising this summer? Has there been a pattern of regular exercise followed by soreness?
My guess is that a visit to a PCP won't get you anywhere, except maybe a referral.
A good physical therapist could recommend exercises to stregthen the muscles around your ankle and maybe some stretches for the tendons.

Based purely on speculation and/or reliance, I can agree with that.

Not to minimize your pain and concern, but this slip-and-fall at the Piggly Wiggly reference makes me miss NotBob and NotBob's Id. Sniff, indeed, if he was driven away by all the vitriolic drivel.

There's a sort of curve where the words get so warped no one can argue with you anymore. The problem is, that's about the same point where the people reading them give up on trying and default back to the simple meaning of the simple words that started the whole thing.

I think it was one of the Initiative episodes, somewhere in the middle of Season Four. I wore an approximation of a fedora and a pink trenchcoat to our meeting.
I have the DVDs now if you want to borrow them.
