Me too.

You can always try and bid on an invitation to Playboy's New Year's Eve party here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=16122

6 hours left. It's at $5100. For two. Maybe I'll join you. Weren't you going to spend $3000 on a TV? This is clearly better.

People are odd about celebrities, the way they shriek and carry on when they meet them. But then celebrities are very funny when you are nonchalant around them, in my experience.

And that makes sense TM, I think that would make most people cry.

It comes from all that subtle flirting we do. I don't remember doing coffee with you. I don't do coffee with straight men. Soda is one thing. But there can't be any ice. That would be kinky.

I would think that most women over high school age probably wouldn't want to date the kind of guy who has rubbers potentially reaching a 2 year old expiration date.

speaking of halle

I briefly flipped on SNL this past weekend and saw a Britney song and then a hilarious skit featuring Joey Lawrence hosting somethign ffeaturing a girlgroup called Climax. I blieve that Halle was the "lead singer" of this group. It was the only funny thing I have ever seen on SNL since WIll Ferrell left. Especially "I'm Not Dutch". Can someone post a link to a video of it? I have no idea how to do this. Sometimes these little video things dont even work on my computer, but I know that the Triumph at the Bon Jovi show did. Thanks in advance.

More random movie stuff

My cheapness being well known and obsessive, I was attracted by the Overstock.com ads. Checked it out this morning.

1. Really good deals on sheets, just FYI. I, for one, am appalled at how expensive decent sheets are every time I rip a hole in mine. (Which means if anyone ever investigates my sheets I will be embarrassed, because they are darned and mended like Frankenstein's monster.)

2. Jewelry is shit. Don't bother.

3. Very interesting DVD/video selection. Certainly not comprehensive, but ... I was surprised at the stuff they had on there. If I think of something I want (even weird old unknown B stuff) this will now be a first stop. They have everything from Seconds (one of the best, and least known, horror movies ever made) to Vampyros Lesbos (pretty much self explanatory) to Ginger Snaps (Canadian low-budget werewolves) to Scream to a complete set of the Hammer Horror series ($45.59) in the horror section. Best of all, some true classic stuff is under $10. Very interesting stuff.

BR(No Dawn of the Dead, slave, sorry, I checked for you.)C

I've often wondered whether it was ok to order from them. Let me know if you do and how it goes?

I have never seen Vampyros Lesbos but I have been tempted for the camp value alone. How is it?

How exactly does one regularly rip a hole in sheets? Are you playing with knives in bed? Dogs chew on them? Smoking?

I don't think I've ever torn a sheet, at least when using them for their intended purpose.

I'm a little biased on the subject. I don't think so, but I was on the other side of the field from the penalty.

Will do. I just got a horror DVD shipment in this past week (hence the Evil Dead watching fest this weekend), so I should take it easy for a while lest the Mr. question whether he Married and Axe Murderer.

I've seen most of VL, but that when I was really, really wasted (really wasted). But what I recall was pretty wild and funny. If the UN made porn in the '70s, but with hot lesbian vampires, this is what it would look like. It was really pretty OK.

I basically haven't gotten new sheets since my wedding, about 7 years ago. After 7 years in regular rotation, they get worn.

That being said, I can't necessarily claim that they have been used only for their intended purposes.

I agree with RT that most people go to Graceland for the cheese factor. As to music, however, listen to the stuff he recorded for Sun and early on for RCA. Groundbreaking, and I've yet to hear rock music done better.
