Arafat Lost Consciousness - Israel Radio
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Palestinian President Yasser Arafat (news - web sites) lost consciousness on Wednesday evening and it was not clear whether he had regained it, Israel Radio reported.
The report came an hour after Israeli television said the 75-year-old's health had deteriorated, quoting Palestinian sources.

I eagerly await the death of this piece of human trash. To think those morons in Norway gave him the peace prize. That peace prize is fucking joke.

Too bad the administration nixed plans to take out Zarqawi before the war in order to bolster their case for war. Too bad the administration is willing to sacrifice American soldiers to serve their political aims.

This is long overdue, and America should NEVER back down from this insanity again. People might not learn the first time they are overwhelmed and defeated. They might not learn the second, or the third, or the fourth.... By the 10th or 11th time, they've learned. And if you have the kind of vacillation that led to this occur even once, you might as well start the lesson-teaching over again, because your enemies now think they can occasionally win.
Regardless of whether we should be there in the first place, or whether troop strength is enough, or whatever else, backing off from Fallujah was an enormous mistake that has embiggened the enemy (according to numerous commentators).
Which is to say, its worth keeping in mind in the future. When our kids are fighting a battle, the primary desire of every American should be that they win the battle, not that we pacify some foreigner who ain't wearing our uniform.

I agree completely. As an armchair general, I have found our actions in Fallujah puzzling.

Agreed. This is just one reason not to elect Kerrey and his global test.

The big fly was already there. We had plans to kill him before the war started, but the administration called it off because they were afraid that killing him would remove one of their justifications for war. Now we're paying the price.

I suspect you'll see a lot less fucking around with what folks do in the field when Kerry is President.
The screw-ups in Fallajah are coming from Washington.

What are you basing that on? He had no qualms at all testifying before the Senate during the VN war and recklessly endangering the lives of our POWs and ensuring they would receive harsher treatment.

He had no problem actually going to war while your boys Bush and Cheney were letting other people die for them.

We have plans to kill him now, too. See it isn't always easy to get to these people and kill them. Thanks for your made-up facts, though. Always nice to get a chuckle during the work day.

He never thought that unit he joined would be sent to VN. Thats why he joined it. And he was only there 4 months and used minor injuries to get out and leave behind others to die. Then when he left, he screwed them with the lies he told before the Senate.

I don't find this intellectually challenging. It is below my band. SS, you should do better than this. this was Ty-stupid, and you know it. Saying you can kill a guy with missiles, is saying Bin Ladin got killed twice during Clinton administration and Sadaam twice before we even got to Baghdad.
