No need to even pay once - there are a bunch of screen savers out there for free. I'm actually kind of interested in Bilmore's and Leagl's comments that there are products or software that will let you do the ceiva thing without the monthly fee. If either of you guys have a product to endorse, I'd be interested.
Thanks!

I'm sorry I've never used one, so I can't endorse one. What I do is make CD roms of photos of the Nephew Eaze and set them up to run as slideshows for any family members who would like them.
I also make them so they can run on a dvd player, so people can just watch them on their tvs.
Here you go though. http://www.digi-frame.com/home.html

Gossip Folks
Bet this is the first time Art Shamsky and Sandy Koufax have made the same list of top athletes.

I don't. I was just reading some warez stuff that allows you to crack these products (there are a couple of brands) and hijack the pay-per-month feature away. This is advantageous because the monthly-fee ones tend to give you a much higher quality viewer for much less money - they make up for it with the monthly fee, of course.
I didn't get it, of course, because that would be wrong.
(OK, back to Napster.)

Finally, you're starting to behave today. I was worried about you.

Sorry if this has been said -- but I'm not skipping ahead. At least iI'm on the same day for chrissakes!
Which strangely coincides with the greatest variety-show line uttered thusly:
Rhett (played by Harvey Korman): Why, Scah-lett, what a beautiful dress...
Scarlett: Thank you. I saw it in the window and I couldn't resist.
(Why can I remember this from, what, 30 years ago? Yet I can't remember the latest details in sweeping regulatory changes in my area of practice?)

Now there's a surprising nod to bilmore from an unlikely source.

Yeah, the $2300 price tag on the digi-frame model that works over the internet makes the ceiva's $8 montly fee a bit less unattractive.
Time to consider .mac.

My birthday is coming up and I would like a Mac, a new digital camera (note to TexLex -- they do not like being dropped by drunken people), a new scanner that knows what to do with slides and negatives, whatever gizmo you need to transfer 8 mm film to digital media, photo software with features that make it easy to restore old photos, and lots and lots and lots of free time.*
In case anybody was struggling with what to get for me. And if you buy it all from Amazon, think of the flow to the site!
*IT, please note that request for free time should NOT be forwarded to firm management. Thank you.

I consider them inferior. Does that count?
( I am somewhat joking, and am not looking to raise the PC/Mac debate at all. They both have their place.)
(The Mac's place, of course, is outside, by the trash.)
(( Now, stop that . . .))

You need to add a note to IT as follows:
"IT, please note that request for free time should NOT be forwarded to firm management. Thank you."

Bizarre, I clicked on that link and was curious to see what was in the gold box, and it was this..
Stan Winston's Mutant Earth Figure: Moloch
Who do they think I am anyway? ShapeShifter?
And then the next item is this...it's creeping me out. What kind of list am I on?
And then this...

I couldn't get Loser Who Lives Upstairs, but as for Mahir, that has GOT to be the inspiration for the guy from Khazakstan on Da' Ali G Show.
(Is that painfully obvious, and I'm just getting it now?)

Point taken - I will remember not to let him take it to sporting events unless he has it tied to him on a mitten-string.

It looks like he may be packing heat in that swimsuit picture. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, etc.
