So, STOP IT PEOPLE!

(I know, I am at least partly to blame for the "classy" farce.)
When will the sweater tied around the neck thing take hold?

Another example of the FB's hypnotic spell (you might even say Svengali-like influence -- but how would you pronounce that?) -- I told you I saw a mannequin in the window of a hifalutin' shop on Madison Ave. sporting that look, and what's the first thing I think? Not -- hmm, that's [nice][ugly][your adjective here], but "I must post about this tomorrow!"

It's a sickness.

I blame Clinton.

I think it already has. I see people doing it all the time, even (or especially) in the 'burbs. With acid-washed jeans and hi-tops. It's totally taking over!

ETA this is not a whiff, it is mocking.

It's Cool To Be In School

This kind of reminds me of Chappelle's stand up act about the baby selling weed on the corner:

Five year old caught sprinkling pot on friend's lunch

4 y.o. brings backpack full of crack to preschool

All I can gather is that school lunches must really be bad tasting these days.

I'm sure this explanation is for those of us who don't know your style.

Of course I am style! The personification of style! But you never finished your sentence and there should be a comma after "explanation".

ETA now I'm confused because you changed "if" to "is" but not "you're" to "your."

It would probably be more efficient if I confined myself to identifying non-mocking posts.

And while I'm sure that anyone who hates the mocking has had me on ignore for a long, long time, I nevertheless feel compelled to note that I am aware that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, or whatever. I'm not classy enough for higher forms, OK? OK. I'm sure bilmore and Hank learned those higher forms at boarding school or prep school or their fancy colleges, but I was not raised in such a privileged environment.

This sucks.
Sorry to read about your friend. Go home. The office is not the place to be at the moment.

After doing some shopping this past weekend, I'm starting to get frightened about the fashion trends the designers are preparing to force upon us. Apparently, bootcut pants are on the way out and those tight jeans with the narrow slits for legs with zippers (circa early 80's) are "coming back" for women. With heels, no less. I also saw someone wearing big old pink legwarmers the other day. It was all I could do not to shudder.

There also appears to be good and bad news for parents of teenage girls... The good news is that low cut hip hugger jeans appear to be on the way out. The bad news, from the store windows I saw, is that they are apparently being replaced by micro-micro-miniskirts which don't come within a half a foot of the knee...

And bringing the conversation full circle back to dtb's earlier statement, when I read this I couldn't remember whether I had already heard this on the FB or if one of my real life friends had mentioned it to me recently.

Real life.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, all. I'm hanging in for the time being. It helped to shut the door and have a quick cry.

Dear Miss Dualclit,

Although I have not seen your likeness, the feisty attitude you spill onto this Internet Bulletin Board reminds me of a young Cybill Shepard, one of the few remaining TRUE American actresses - able to project sophistication and a precious vulnerability of femininity all at the same time.

To look past my strickeness of your stars, though, I am more intrigued by your apparent dual-natured female touching-place. How did you come to be a dualclit? In my native country, although we are of a cultured and of much more superior poise than you Americans, there is a dark shame of "inbreeding" that leads to such conditions. A schoolfriend was a result of one of these inbreedings and as a result had an extra Rock of Manhood in his Pouch of Virility. We used to tease him about this condition until one day we realized that it was a gift - one which we should not make fun of lest the Gods of Sophistication take away one of our Rocks of Manhood with vengeance and spite (but leaving our handsomeness, at least in our hopes!)

This reminds me of your clitorati and their specialness. Two, dear lady, is better than one in this case. Any man, even if you are a typical American woman with enough ass to blanket my velvet-stuffed mattress of international love, would be happy to covet a wonder of biology with double the stimulation points.

You are a pretty girl on the inside, and although your Woman-Pieces may not be pretty to you, I am sure a very sophisticated man will use them to make you happy one day, Miss Dualclit - as you have two nectar-pikes perched atop your breasts above, and (unlike even the most crafty ladies in the world) two lurking nestled down below. If not, I give you the gift of my handsomeness to dwell upon - LOOK AT ME!:

T.I.M.
