I love the smell of semen in the morning.
"Firefighters closed off several streets and used hoses to wash away the sugary goo..."

"What was unsettling was that the fluid just kept coming," Stuart Claxton of the Guinness Book of World Records told the Daily News. "It was quite a lot of fluid. On a hot day like this, you have to move fast."

Second, were that true, I'd have died years ago. I had a three grande habit at one point. Granted, they say the body acclimates to caffeine quickly and can injest massive doses if conditioned to do so, but you've just stated that I had the equivalent of nine No-Dozes a day.

And if its based on govt stats, it doesn't apply to me. According to the govt, I'm dead (along w/most of this board).
My chainsaw boss would leave a 32 oz big gulp of coffee on his nightstand. At 4:45 AM, he would wake up, chug it, and go back to sleep until 5:30. He would drink an additional 2 pots of coffee throughout the day. His doctor told him he'd be dead by 40 if he kept it up.

On splooge (for Shapey): if you intend to deposit it on her belly, but somehow get it in her eye, she may be slightly perturbed.

There is a dissenting viewpoint about whether roasting method determines caffeine content:

"In a written statement provided by Starbucks, spokeswoman Lara Wyss stated that there are many variables that contribute to caffeine content from cup to cup, such as the type of bean, roasting and brewing methods, and grind."

I found the above quote at the following link:

I tend to end up chewing straws that end up in my drinks at bars. At least one person has been turned on with what I do to straws when they end up in my mouth.

Where's the romance in that? The rolling of the bill is such a sacred act... The christening of the crisp new $20, fresh from the ATM. Plastic straws? Boorish.

The beginning of the end

At the Chicago Whiskey Festival, producers from around the globe are on hand to entice the sipping set to try whatever's new.

“Old Fitzgerald, Cabin Still, all the imagery and the sell is tradition,” says Dean Phillips, president and CEO of Phillips Distilling, based in Minneapolis. “If you go to the vodka section you see all new, sexy, packaging, and we thought there has to be an opportunity to transfer those key learnings to this section.”

But Phillips is doing more than blending -- he's “flavoring.” He’s produced the first “flavored” whiskey in America, a vanilla and a cherry version. If it worked for vodka -- and it did in a very big way with flavored vodka accounting 15 percent of all vodka sales -- why not the whiskey category? Forty-four million cases of whiskey were sold in the U.S. last year, most of it mixed with something else.

“People are ordering $12 Manhattans in New York City and often times the bartender will pour a $1.99 maraschino cherry juice in the Manhattan. Why not add natural royal ann cherry flavor to the whiskey ahead of time … you're half way there my friend,” Phillips says.

GAck. That sounds awful.

I agree with you on the blueberry (and let's add spinach, sun-dired tomato, and asiago cheese to ridiculous bagel flavors) but you are dead wrong on the cinnamon raisin. That is your dessert bagel, for after the lox, to enjoy with fresh coffee. And how can you omit the very best kinds of bagels -- the egg bagel and the egg onion bagel? You talk a good game, Hank, but you really aren't up to this.

I failed to persuade the owners and employees of a bagel establishment in a small mid atlantic college town that a sancwich consisting of eggs on a bagel is absolutely not properly called an "egg bagel." You don't call an egg sandwich on a kaiser roll an "egg roll" do you? They did not change their terminology, even when I explained how wrong it was to get a customer excited about a variety of bagel that they did not carry, and even after I pointed out that many of their patrons would have the same experience.

Fucking rubes.
You and Hank both neglected to pay proper homage to the pumpernickel, undisputed King of Bagels. Baked with bits of finely minced onion, like at Kauffman's.

That statement doesn't indicate which effect the roasting method would have on the caffeine content. Therefore, not only was your restating the word "determine" simply because I used it in my post careless and imprecise, it also failed to prove any relationship between the spokesperson's meaningless BS and the barista's meaningless BS.

Finally, unlike you and NFH, the ditzy yin to your snotty yang, I don't pay a lot of attention to what Starbucks spokespeople say, let alone quote them as authorities. I cited that website for the chart, not for the PR BS. Now go fetch me a bagel.

Blech. Bagels should not be brown. I like a salt bagel... with yellow mustard. Almost like being back in Philly, where the soft pretzels sold on the street corner are a little slice of heaven.

And I like a Manhattan. It's the only thing sweet vermouth is good for. But I wouldn't make one with flavored whiskey, unless someone was holding a gun to my head.
