I agree, but I also blame Poland for being so damn invadable.

Mmmmmmmm, not so much, no. He was wrong about other stuff too, which "cuts" to the "heart" of Dole's ostensible complaints.*
Quote:
Mr. Dole suggested that Mr. Kerry was in a rush to obtain his Purple Hearts to meet a regulation that allowed soldiers to leave the war zone after winning three. "I mean, the first one, whether he ought to have a Purple Heart - he got two in one day, I think. And he was out of there in less than four months, because three Purple Hearts and you're out." ( Mr. Kerry did not receive two Purple Hearts for events of the same day. He received them for the events of Dec. 2, 1968; Feb. 20, 1969; and March 13, 1969.)

Dole's assertions that Kerry was being hypocritical by campaigning as a war hero was, I'm sure, part of his Joe Friday routine, no?

I know that the BC'04 campaign had to reach outside the circle of folks who actually work inside the Administration to find someone with the gravitas to level these challenges and avoid drowning in one's own irony, but Dole isn't the best missionary, either by temperment, or ability to marshal and retain the facts.

For the debunking effort, I guess they could've used McCain. Wonder why he didn't do it.

*Thank you! I'm here 'till Thursday!

hoisted by his own retard(edness)

Good news for the righteous, bad news for the unpatriotic leftists, the new blockbuster political expose, Unfit For Command is #1 on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble bestseller lists and will be the new #1 on the New York (PRAVDA) Times list.
Woo hoo, I ordered 10 copies last week (1 for me and 9 as Christmas gifts) and just got a confirmatory email this morning that the lot has been shipped, although I will pray daily to the Lord and his only legitimate son that some socialist Kerry plant in the Postal Service doesn’t hijack my shipment.

Eitherway, good old JF Kerry is surely in need of a fresh pair of French panties as this story continues to steamroll. Of course the spin from these idiots will be to continue to try to wrongly smear the Commander in Chief (of course Kerry has no respect for people with that title) but Kerry and his minions live on the banks of a river in Egypt. Denial. I’m shocked to admit it but this buffoon is more mentally ill than AlGore, and more cowardly and morally bankrupt Billybob. Speaking of whom, I woudn’t be surprised to find some Clinton money backing the Swifties-Hillary is now a lock in ’08.

From your friendly neighborhood Movie Timmy:

Mufasa = Simba's deceased Dad

Mustapha = Fez wearing burnt henchman of Dr. Evil

I know you meant well, but for future reference, pointing to factual errors in Gattigap's posts is sort of like going to a Special Olympics basketball game and yelling at the ref to call travelling on the point guard. Sure, you're right, but was the correction really necessary, given the fact of his effort?

You eventually learned not to travel, didn't you?

Love,
Dad

P.S. I have no regrets.

Hank, this is one of the reasons that they trotted out Dole with a (left handed) axe to take swings at the Kerry candidacy.

Not that (say) Cheney or someone else couldn't have tried, but you need someone with a slightly better history on the subject matter to take the swings. Maybe you can send out an RFP for this kind of work.

Max Cleland Turned Away From Bush Ranch

Wow. JFKerry is more of a piss-stained yellow coward that I imagined. Sending a mentally retarded crippled socialist to do his bidding is the lowest of the low. And shame on Max Cleland for allowing himself to be just another side show freak. This man is becoming like a modern day lobster boy. Although at this point, without an elective office or a chance in hell of ever getting one again, the only choice for the poor slob is to prostitute his self-inflicted amputations for fellow battlefield fakes like Kerry in the hopes of getting an undersecretary’s position in some pie-in-the-sky dreamland Kerry Administration. Given Cleland’s irrationale attempts to portray his injuries as wartime related when they were the result of his own negligent handling of a grenade in his bunk is exactly what must bond him with a phoney like Kerry. They probably ate Christmas goose together in Cambodia.

The bottom line here is that stunt’s like this can only mean that the JFKerry campaign’s internal numbers must show that this French nitwit is sinking like the Hindenburg.

Whoa. We're gonna have to improve LT's search function for that. Perhaps your November donation will help pay for the upgrade.
