A few questions for the geeks who plan to see this movie right away:

-- did you actually think that Episodes I and II did not suck?

-- do you think that Episode III will not suck?

-- do you realize that giving Lucasfilm a big opening week, despite the last two episodes sucking, only shows Hollywood that they have nothing to lose by making movies that suck?

I don't fall into that category Sidd, but...

Episode I sucked. Saw it at the theater probably a month after it opened. Episode II sucked, but not as hard as the first one... first Star Wars movie I didn't see in the theater. Saw it on DVD, and even then as an afterthought.

I'm hopeful this one will not suck because of the trailer and the darker tone (ala Empire Strikes Back)... that said I'm not seeing it right away.

I think Hollywood realized they have nothing to lose making shitty movies a long time ago... many an actor/director/etc. has made millions making steaming piles of crap. Why should Lucas be any different?

I don't think that Episode II sucked. I think that the Anakin/Adama scenes sucked, but I didn't think the movie sucked.

I think that Episode III will not suck.

Lucasfilm is an independent studio outside of Hollywood. Fox only handles distribution, but doesn't control it.

And geek cross pollinization should never, ever happen outside of the laboratory.

Yes, your geek-ness. I understand that -- hell, I live in the town where it's based. But "Hollywood" is a concept, equivalent to big-budget moviedom. More importantly, it's not like the rest of Hollywood will ignore the first-week results of Episode III.

In short, since i am busy, Carrie shouted, Constantine was aiiight for me, dog, Vonzelle was pretty good but i dont like her face, the fat guy was boring, the twirpy little freak has got to go, and Bo rocked the show. Oh, and Anwar was predictable and boring. I think he is getting close to getting kicked off.

It took me over an hour to get 25 Bo calls in. Did people vote for otehrs. did they have a hard time getting through to anyone?

I think that Hollywood will note that the first-week results of Episode III, regardless of crap level, cannot be duplicated without the previous results of Episodes IV, V, and VI.
