Wrong. the beauty of this board (and its a double edged swprd that cuts both ways) is that if an ignored person says something interesting, which nobody on my ignore list ever does or they wouldnt be there, someone replies and quotes it in their posts. but the evil edge of the sword is that as much as you dont want to hear the hystrionic blather of a purse junkie or the arent i clever, love me love me of an insecure narcissist, often times, it gets quoted back in your face. so you ahve to read the "posted by : line carefully. whicih is a drag for a scroller like me , but hey, thats why the edge is evil

I think you're both a little confused. Not Me doesn't understand much of anything, so that necessarily means it doesn't understand you.

And I don't know why it keeps talking like it knows what this place is about since wherever it goes, it gets ridiculed, belittled, made a fool of and eventually shunned. But if it gets off on that (while talking to itself since in about 15 minutes it will be on everyone's ignore list), good for it. I think it's a little sad, though.

I didn't really pay attention to the bernard pivot thing when bnb posted the questions last week, but now I wonder whether mr. lipton credits mr. pivot when he asks the questions, or whether he is shamelessly derivative. if you read my correction iof bnbs post you would have seen my drippingly sarcastic note that Mr Pivot is the greatest interviewer ever (which is what Lipton always says when he introcudes it). That said, Ithink he is derivative of John Houseman in a cultured queer sense. One time he stepped out of character and said "hey, I am just from michigan".
I love the show despite James Lipton bc I like to learn about the craft. Though he is diluting the quality of the show by inviting people who havent had esepecially noteworthy careers to date. Jude Law (beautiful yes, legendary , no), Naomi Watts (too soon and she does heavy breathing a lot as an acting subsittute), Charlize Theron(too soon thgough she is certain to win an oscar this year). you get the drift.
