You can have him, if you're willing to spend over $30 mil a year for him for the next 8 years. I'm sure his delicate psyche would flourish in Boston.
And to tell the truth, if he's going to play like this for us from here on out, I'd love to have him. But he'll settle down (or every year won't be like this one) and I'm not sure his numbers are worth double Cabrera's. I'll take Cabrera at $15-$18 mil per.

They sure didn't want or need Edgar Rent-A-Wreck, did they?
Or Cabrera, for that matter.

If the Yankees could have held a 3-0 lead in 2004, Theo Epstein would be looking for a new job.

That must be the case, as NY State was my first ever driving exam (well, now that I think about it, my only driving exam). Seems like it is probably for pedestrian safety reasons in that case.
I'm very happy to learn that RT did not need to clarify as to Texas State law regarding the idiot driver. I so would have been laying on the horn. And I drive in LA! There must be nearly as many people driving around with guns in my vicinity!*

Miggy? No way are ARod's numbers worth twice Miggy's. ARod is a better defensive player, but you don't pay $15mm for defense.
He's also 8 years younger than ARod. Unless he eats his way past 300 pounds, his best years are most likely ahead.

Perhaps Flower will explain to me why that is ironic.

I think they're bringing the lawsuit in Canada. And possibly the Czech Republic.

I guess we're in agreement, then? (Although ARod is leading him in almost every offensive statistic, which makes him a better offensive player as well -- just not doubly so. And that's why I don't think it makes sense to go way over $30 mil for him. The Yanks can mitigate that kind of damage significantly with an extension because Texas owes him $10 mil per year for the next 3 years, but why would another team pay double what Cabrera will be worth?)

But everyone knows that Canada and the Czech Republic don't matter. C'mon, their judges dress like santa claus....
