SUFFICIENT PUNISHMENT

Mr. Bunny promised (this was his offer--not a "yes" at gunpoint, but as a peace offering in another fight) to not renew his subscription to Playboy. I just found out that he recently renewed it anyway...when asked about it, he said "I didn't think you really cared."

Should I be really ticked off? What's a sufficient punishment? I'm not mad about the Playboys so much as the treachery.

Sunny (anti-playboy)Bunny
You should provide him with provocative pictures of yourself, and tell him that should be enough for him. He will like that, and set aside the playboys for a bit. Then tell him fair is fair, and get pictures of him.

Post them on the internet, and send an email with the link to his family. That will teach him.

I was gonna say I love you just the way you are, but I didn't want to plant a horrible Billy Joel riff in everybody's head.

Why can't he get Playboy? Hell, my wife reads mine. Its a silly magazine with airbrushed naked chicks. Its not like he's getting Anal Intruders or Violent Rape Fantasy Weekly. Lighten up, Francis... if this is a big issue for you, you really don';t have much interesting taking place in your life.

It wasn't a demand. I think that's my point. I was pissed off about something else. We had a fight. He said, "I can't do [X] but as a whole, I think I need to be more respectful of you. There are lots of other things I can do, such as [y, z...] and stop leaving the Playboy out on the coffee table for when your friends come over and as a matter of fact, I won't even renew my subscription." TO which I proptly said, "great, it's a deal" and I've put up with [X], and other things holding up my end of the bargain. Truth be told if he had come to me and said "what was I thinking, I'd like to renew my subscription, and that was a stupid thing for me to say" it would have been find. I probably would ahve milked him to take me out to dinner or something. It was the fact that he lied about it.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

You can't be serious. How did this argument actually go?

foo foo: ...and you never put the lid on the toilet down! I can't take it anymore!

poor sap: I'm sorry, my squeaky little bunny. Will it make you feel better if I cancel my subscription to Playboy, that you must have told me over and over again you hate and can't possibly live with if you're to ever be happy?

I'm not buying it. Seems to me that he did it at gunpoint.

Would you rather have him pay newstand prices? Because he's not going to stop buying it.

I believe that Hustler has gone the way of the dodo. I could be wrong though. Penthouse might still be around if you want to give him a treat. Or any of the magazines that Sebby has listed for you.

Oh I'm sorry, I should learn form your relationship and get so beaten down that I only wear what meets your approval while you run around town doing god knows what. If to have a pair balls gives you a license to walk all over women and expect them to submit, then I'm dating chicks from here on out.

Untrue. I will never be a moderator or admin.

(How come no one ever changes for the better?)

My mother has come into my place and seen a copy of Playboy on the coffee table. She was amazed they still printed it. Its not even considered scandalous any more - in any regard. Hell, the articles are tamer than Maxim and Vanity Fair. And there's more real nudity in the body painting section of the SI swimsuit edition.

As to the lying, whatever. You should have expected it. Your request was silly. I make promises I have no intention of keeping about stupid shit like this all the time, and my wife does the same. I lie about cleaning the cat litter every other day. And she perpetually lies about parking the truck in the security lot I pay for (I catch her lazily parking it on the street all the time). We let that shit slide.

You gotta lie about something, so its better to get it out of thew way on the small silly shit.

He is very sensitive when I comment on his clothing. Admittedly, he has a great body and can carry off these outfits from that perspective. Unfortunately, age appropriateness is becoming a factor (he's a little older than me, and I'm no spring chicken).

Oh, and the fact that these clothes are hideous and poorly made probably factor in to my strong feelings.

If everything I hate "accidently" went to the Salvation Army, he'd lose half his non-work related wardrobe and would just place another order with IM. We get those rEdiculous catalogs every month. Surprisingly, he says he likes the outfits I purchase for him (all non-IM, of course), and he thankfully doesn't purchase IM sh*t for me.

If it weren't for the fact that he is otherwise a wonderful person, I'd consider moving on as he makes me feel unworthy of this Board.

Ah. I see that you actually are bestest friends with Fugee.

1. You are the moron who asked for advice on a public forum, you nitwit. Don't ask for it and then get all defensive.

2. You don't know shit about me except what you read here. And you clearly are incapable of understanding what you do read, so maybe you should limit your involvement on these boards to asking advice on how you can best punish your boyfriend, you nutjob.
