[1] I thought the nose bleeds were just a way of showing, visually that you are getting close to the seventh day -- makes death seem more imminent.
[2] The weird face is a product of the unbelievable shock and horror brought about by the little girl coming out of the tv to come and kill you. Dying from such a shock when you are perfectly healthy would surely cause your face to completely cave in from shock.
[3] Tape has a life of its own. Just kind of cool.
[4] No. You have to copy the tape to be spared.
[5] He knew he would never get away from what he created. He thought he could hide from what he created. But he can't. The only way to get away from her for him is death. It also seems that the fact that he created her has pushed him past depression into something more extreme, making him suicidal, apparently.

Oops. I lied. 4. Wall Street Journal. Only real paper in the bunch.
Now, you've got a dichotomy: the NY Times that finds John Kerry too conservative and the DMN which used to think that gun ownership should be mandatory for all U.S. citizens.

I am writing to inform you that the use of "tres" to modify an English word in a sentence otherwise filled English words is the equivalent to some of walking into a chic New York bar and loudly proclaiming "Do you have any Mojitos here? I understand they are super classy!"
I write to you because I care.
Fondly,

Dear Flower,
Thank you for your letter. While others may find your periodic "Dear Not Bob" missives to be a stylistically inappropriate way of conveying your thoughts and concerns, I think that they are just hunky-dory.
As to the substance of your letter, I do realize that the use of "tres" as a modifier (in a Not French sentence) exhibits a certain, well, unworldly backwardness. Quite so. Although many aspects of my prole-ish board persona were not always created by me intentionally, I often attempt to embrace the "unsophisticated rube" image deliberately.
However, I understand that "I meant to do that" is often merely a lame after-the-fact rationalization. So, for the purposes of this letter, I will respond as if I did not mean to do that. Therefore, I accept your correction in the spirit in which it was intended, and I assure you that I will not make the same mistake again.
Love,
Not Bob

As someone with perfect recollection of the 70s (although a lot more fuzzy on the details of yesterday, for example), I can tell you that the line was "We will sell no wine before its time."
PS -- Kudos on the correct apostrophication of "its" -- although either would make sense here -- hmm.

wrong things
my sister does framing. A woman came in with a few cards with fetus hand and foot prints. She miscarried for the second time- no kids yet. But she wants the cards framed to hang in the bedroom of her eventual kid so he'll know he had a brother. That is fucked up for the kid, especially if she has a few more miscarriages first.
Is this a Catholic thing where everyone has a soul starting at conception so you should treat it like a sibling? I am a confirmed Catholic but we didn't get to fetus handling.

Shit indeed. This is gonna kill off all primate jokes for a while.

Very enlightening. Thank you.
However, what do you mean he created her? Like some sort of Frankenstien thing? Breeding thing (like the horses)?

Did anyone else find it ironic that a 16 year old boy was shot and killed at a club/private party for two college fraternities??? And with "{a}bout 1,500 people milling about outside Eddie Deen's Ranch had been denied entry to the event hosted by two chapters of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity."
