I, for one, look forward to the day when this issue is finally resolved by imperial edict. Things will be so much less complicated when there will be only one box to check.

And it Continues

The Kerry campaign has repeatedly stated that the official naval records prove the truth of Kerry's assertions about his service.
But the official records on Kerry's Web site only add to the confusion. The DD214 form, an official Defense Department document summarizing Kerry's military career posted on johnkerry.com, includes a "Silver Star with combat V."
But according to a U.S. Navy spokesman, "Kerry's record is incorrect. The Navy has never issued a 'combat V' to anyone for a Silver Star."
Naval regulations do not allow for the use of a "combat V" for the Silver Star, the third-highest decoration the Navy awards. None of the other services has ever granted a Silver Star "combat V," either.

You didn't quote the best line: - Reporting by the Washington Post's Michael Dobbs points out that although the Kerry campaign insists that it has released Kerry's full military records, the Post was only able to get six pages of records under its Freedom of Information Act request out of the "at least a hundred pages" a Naval Personnel Office spokesman called the "full file.
So tell me, where is the outcry? Why isn't the AP making a big deal to release all his records?

a. Because of the liberal media bias
b. Because they don't want Kerry to look bad
c. Because they want Kerry to win
d. All of the above
I choose d. What do I win?

There were 35.8 million people living in poverty last year, or 12.5 percent of the population. That was 1.3 million more than in 2002.
Children made up more than half the increase -- about 800,000. The child poverty rate rose from 16.7 percent in 2002 to 17.6 percent.
The government definition of poverty varies by the size of the household. For instance, the income threshold for a family of four was $18,810, while for two people it was $12,015.
More people lacked health insurance as well -- about 45 million last year, or 15.6 percent, compared with 43.5 million, or 15.2 percent the previous year.

Ask Hank. Apparently the military can't be expected to produce these things, you know, on request or anything like that. It's not worth the legal fees.

How will Kerry create new manufacturing jobs while also inacting new enviromental regulations? Does he admit the two might be conflicting at some point?

Either because they hate America or because nobody to the left of Sean Hannity gives a shit.

Yes, Bush has a much better plan for creating mfg jobs. After all, look at his track record.

The Bush plan has merit. Somebody's got to build all those corners that we're turning.

Actually, environmental response engineers and other workers are enjoying one of the few bright spots in the job market right now.
