I don't think Afghanistan and Iraq count as belonging to the IOC, and I doubt anyone can claim that the utterance of "Olympics" violates some property right. The only real difference is, Bush doesn't give two figs for the IOC's sensibilities, while Kerry desperately wants McCain to keep liking him.

What about the quotes from the Iraqi olympians from the article I posted? Seems pretty analogous to me. "I/we are featured prominently in your ad and we would like you to stop running it."

As what a copyright infringement? Where did the Bush people get the footage from? Whoever filmed the events holds the copyright and if they sold or gave that footage to Bush, I doubt they did it without agreeing that it could be used.
