It's only the worst if you are the clueless person calling up. It's just an ego boost otherwise (not to mention a fantastic opportunity to be mean to a clueless person). Are we to conclude that you're the clueless one?

No, in the past, I was usually the recipient of the clueless person's phone call.
Unlike you, I felt bad rejecting people.

I realized recently that iTunes has ruined me for music. The time I used to spend listening to music I now spend looking for new music. Shopping for music. I've downloaded hundreds of new songs and albums to which I have yet to listen. I'm not buying music, I'm building a collection of music --- filling out my library. When I pick up my iPod and try to remember what I've bought recently and might like to hear, I can't think of anything and just wind up listening to hoary old chestnuts like Björk (hi, RP!) on shuffle play or The Best of Michael McDonald or something. Everything else remains in virtual shrink wrap. (Except Franz Ferdinand and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.)
I'm the Charles Foster Kane of the music world.
Anyone else?

Broadway Bares
I saw a videotape of a previous edition (chez a friend who was in the ensemble of How to Succeed), and it got pretty, well, bare. One male solo number ended with the guy wearing only a nylon-stocking-like thingy on his twig and berries, and there were lots of Vegas-style topless showgirls. So, not surprising that Paige Davis got a little caught up in the moment.

so you'd prefer the standard format of 2 songs you like and the rest you don't listen to?

Just get AC/DC Back in Black and you never have to buy anything ever again.

Or sometimes they show up where you work because they were just in the neighborhood. And then you have to be mean to their face.

Set up a smart playlist that has songs you haven't listened to recently (or haven't listened to at all, or haven't rated). Then you play that.
Ask Ty for further tips. He's learned how to set his ipod to shuffle now.
