If we went with his initial "yeah, it's great! it gets her off!" we might not realize it's probably not goign to be that great because the whole time he's mostly thinking "did she come yet?"

Isn't this one of the few times when it is pretty easy to tell?

Close. I wondered what Gwyneth Paltrow had to do with it. Somehow I doubt Great Expectations would hook Sebby up with her though.

I like it!
Whenever I'm back home, I go see SS's sister. 'Til this day it's always as adequate as it was back in high school when we had the half hour lunch break! Those of you who know our home state know that an IQ of 80 is required for effective consent, so I'm safe by 7 solid points!
Here's the problem: With SS's end of year bonus he bought her false teeth, and she doesn't know how to keep them where they belong IYKWIM. Should I end things, or would it be acceptable to ask her to go back to the way things were?
If your answer to Q1 is yes, would it be less awkward to have SS tell her to leave the teeth at home? Background- he gets a yearly bottle of Crown royal as an annuity for the introduction.

Sebby would work out, no question. I'm betting he'd talk too much afterwards though....... ![Confused](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Drowned by beer cans
Dude lost control of his car while drinking and having sex. The car pitched into a river and he sunk from the weight of the beer cans in his pockets and stachel.
Quote:
A man's body was found by divers in the Pend Oreille River near Newport, Wash., on Sept. 25; sheriff's deputies estimate that he was carrying about 40 pounds of beer (a satchel full around his body, plus cans in his pocket) but said they would wait for an autopsy before commenting. And a 25-year-old driver was killed in St-Joachim, Quebec, on Sept. 24 when another car veered into his lane and hit him; police said the deceased was within his own lane but was distracted, in that he was apparently at the time engaged in sexual intercourse with a female passenger. (Having intercourse while driving, said a police spokesman, "makes driving that much more dangerous.") [Gem State Miner (West Bonner County, Idaho), 9-29-04] [Ottawa Sun, 9-25-04]

Baseball's big party got thrown a curveball before it even began.
Officials from the sports world and the city government were in Union Station today to confirm what was already widely known -- that the Expos are being re-named the Washington Nationals. But before the media event got underway, D-C Statehood Green Party member Adam Eidinger jumped onto the stage holding a sign protesting Mayor Tony Williams' planned stadium deal.
Eidinger was jumped by several men, including former Washington Senators announcer Charlie Brotman. A tussle ensued, and the podium nearly fell over, before security managed to drag Eidinger off stage.
As for the new name, it's not really that new. Baseball officials said there were teams named the Nationals in the 1870's and 1880's, and that the Senators were originally the Nationals from 1901 to 1956.
Perhaps they should be called the "Bullets"

MLB pussied out and should have called the team the Washington Grays

Don't dabble in plumbing. The stakes are too high. I have changed light fixtures, outlets, switches, you name it. But the most I'll do to the plumbing in my house is plunge and Draino. There was one time I changed out the toilet tank assembly. That's two hours I'll never get back --- and at the end of it I realized it would have been six minutes for someone who'd ever done it before and had the right tools. ALL OF THEM.
You'll spend over a hundred bucks to get all the right tools, and you'll be tempted to make do with whatever you have instead. Resist this temptation; it's born of Satan.
You use your kitchen sink every day. Buy the highest quality fixture you can afford, and pay a plumber for the two hours it will take to install.

Mrs. Palsgraf's Revenge.
- A piece of grilled shrimp flung playfully by a Japanese hibachi chef toward a tableside diner is being blamed for causing the man's death.
Making a proximate-cause argument, the lawyer for the deceased man's estate has alleged that the man's reflexive response -- to duck away from the flying food -- caused a neck injury that required surgery.
Complications from that first operation necessitated a second procedure. Five months later, Jerry Colaitis of Old Brookville, N.Y., was dead of an illness that his family claims was proximately caused by the injury.
It's time for us to retire the word "proximate" from the phrase "proximate cause." It obviously isn't doing us lawyers any damn good.
