Re: martinis and skylines. I once got in a barfight with someone over whether the mountains I grew up around were more beautiful than the mountains he grew up around. So there's no reason to stop arguing skylines just because we start drinking.

Yup, they still just don't build many high buildings, as compared to similarly sized cities. But yes, a competition for which skyline is best is stupid. Personally, I was just enjoying looking at the different pictures. Some of them are quite lovely.

Hotties of the appropriate gender make anyone nervous -- unless they're as suave and debonair as the thurgreed purports to be.
Honestly, though, it's rather unusual to run into a lawyer who is attractive enough to make one nervous. It's natural selection the people who are willing and able to work the hours required to get a job at a big firm generally aren't that attractive. The guys are often short. The gals are often fat. Both genders to faces that are average or worse. And the hours take their toll on both genders, especially those who are parents -- there isn't much time for exercise after billing and parenting.

This one's my favorite, the viagra/birth control cocktail.
And don't forget your prozac which some of you so desperately need.

Of course, there are always exceptions to the general rule.

It can't possibly be the dumbest thing you've ever heard. You've said much dumber shit within the last week. Perhaps that conference call numbed your brain, you're aving spent too much time sitting on it.

'Tis true. Because it is certainly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
It ain't the "Second City" for nothing

Hasn't been the second city for a long time. Third City or, if we include all of the Americas, Seventh City.
Happy Merry.

Happy.....whatever
To my "friends" (and I use that term loosely..not to imply that I or any of you are loose...well some are...NTTAWWT...but anyway) on the FB
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral, celebration of some sort of holiday on or about the winter solstice, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all AND A fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2004, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.
If you choose, please spread the joy, or other emotion of your choice.
They aren't my words (so I stole someone else's form...so the fuck what..that is what we all do for a living anyway) but they sum it all up neatly.
Have fun..or don't.
Private to Paigs -- cheers!

On the East-West continuum it is still the Second City. Thanks for playing though.

I think he was trying to get into slave's pants, not yours.
And re arguing over skylines, yeah, it's like arguing about TITs: Some are larger, some are smaller, but I ain't seen many I didn't like.

I knew a girl in HS who had several coarse black hairs in her cleavage area, which ruined her Breastline (I invented that word).
