I've played blackjack alongside Christopher Penn, and craps with Rodman and Ron Harper. I lost my watch to Bebe Neuwirth after a bad game of HORSE.

Dude, they're as common as Bimmers in the burbs out here, and this city is no economic wonderland.
Porsche and Ferrari are not in the same group. Well, maybe the GT is inthe same group with Ferrari. Ferrari is for the cat who truly wants some exotic, tempermental hand made street legal race car. The upkeep on those fuckers is awful. The standard 911 is a mass produced vehicle.
Cat up the street from me growing up had a couple Ferraris. Those things are pieces of art. Porsches are scattered all over any golf course parking lot (standard radiologist's ride, common as a 7 series). A buddy of mine who races stock cars in LA giggles about Porsches. He considers them great cars, but basically just VWs on roids.
I don't like them. Never will. But this is just my crazy opinion. If you dig 'em, hey, have at it.

I would just like to add that the ultimate midlife crisis mobile these days is the Motorcycle. Or pre-midlfe. The need for these things tends to hit men in their thirties from what I have observed. I won't say it screams, I have a small dick, but I will say it screams "Please give me some excitement and thrills, as I cant get any on my own two legs, and life didnt really turn out as I had hoped, and is this all there is?". Porches are fun. THese things are a huge turnoff.

I has a short-lived fling with a man who after graduating from college became a pot-smoking commerical fisherman with a harley. i was wild about him, but the thrill was gone when he sold his fishing boat, sold the harley, cut his hair and put on a suit. Sometimes it works in reverse. his "i'm turning thirty and should no longer want excitement and thrills" was just a killer.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

I'd have won the fucking car if this were The Price is Right.
There are many real exotics under $200k (Bentley Continental, the new small Astin Martin, a few year old Ferrari).
The 911 is to middle aged men what the BMW 330 is to kids who get their first bonus check. "Look at me!" They're nice rides, don't get me wrong. And they perform magnificently and run forever. And if you buy a standard 911 just to have a fun convertible, I guess thats sensible. But all these old men I see driving their turbos around the Philly burbs crack me up. I mean, really, why? Other than compensating for lack of something else, of course...
My prime gripe with the car is its utter lack of creativity. Its the generic staus symbol for the Viagra chomping, hair plug wearing professional man on the go. If you feel the need to exhibit your fat wallet that badly, do it with some originality.

There are plenty of people who buy cars for image. Fuck those people, they are losers.
By saying you wouldn't buy a Porsche because it doesn't have the right image you are just as much of a poseur. Like all the hipsters trying so desperately not to conform that they're all wearing the same straight-cut jeans, flip-flops and retro Izod shirts with the collars up.

Well, fuck. Uh, 2.
I was going to post something about how the hot 19 year old receptionists don't think that driving a lipstick-red 911 means that a dude has a small dick, but why bother now?

Or maybe I'm just pining for the exotic, since I'm hitched to a standard Aryan blonde. Not complaining, but I dig the brunettes and the Latin faces. I can't fully explain whats so great about them...

Guards red goddammit. And my whole world is spinning as I find myself on the same side of the Porsche discussion as Slave, TM and Paigow.
The new Cayman.

I wonder if anyone's ever before put together the concepts of H-O-R-S-E and Bebe Neuwirth? This might be the comedy equivalent of Natalie Portman making up a funny sound to scream in Garden State!
That's our Flinty, a true original.
