This means that Texas wouldn't be part of Super-Tuesday, and the state could potentially have little or no impact on the democratic nominee.

Of course, this could also put you in a critical position if Super Tues. winnows the field without settling on one front-runner. And given that Super Tuesday already includes both New York and California, as a state you may not get much attention for a SuperTuesday gig unless you are a winner take all state (are you?).
And I second Fringey's thanks - this was interesting.

and in other news
All over the country, the not so liberal media tonight caught dozens of local Democratic officials sweeping their offices for listening devices.
A slightly mentally retarded youth in Boston provides the sympathetic Hello with one of his greater worries for the early part of the week. All ends happily when the boy is found sleeping on a yacht on a boatyard.
Believe it or not, Chicago's murder rate appears to have started nosediving two months ago. Apparently, having 100 officers occupy the worst 1/2 square mile (actually a bit larger) in the city from 6 PM to 2 AM, has a positive effect. Many changes have been reported though. Jesse Jackson says nothing about the 60 or so souls statistically saved so far.
Clark's campaign manager quit. The liberal media will apparently not immediately forgive his early gaffes.
Asbestos reform will/will not happen. Depends on who you talk to and what day it is. Today, then answer is "will not".
Arnold will be well advised to start making the big cuts immediately, before the population finds another reason to end the love.
Israel looks like its getting ready to go ballistic on someone. Its not clear who that someone might be though. Lebanon maybe? Reports this week have an Israeli prisoner being held in Iran for 17 years now.
Schroder has started acting a bit more like a grown up, though that damn Fischer is still an international embarassment to Germany.
The garbage in Chicago will really be a problem for the buildings downtown by the end of this weekend. It sounds like somebody may want to start busting a few Teamsters locals there soon. Not a good time for Daley to be in California.
Thats all for now.
Hello

Well, I'll compliment Fringey for today's extremely entertaining posting too. E.g., "can I do a line on your butt." and a few excellent lines in the reverse sarcasm mode. Clap clap clap.
This has been one entertaining day.

Yeah, we're a winner take all state. This actually is an interesting point that no one has brought before.
In other news, it looks like the map was passed today. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/front/2145728

Why thank you. Perhaps if you keep in mind all I do for you, you will make an effort to be more disciplined and less misleading in future. There's not a whole lot you can do about the creepiness, I fear.

In appreciation, I promise to do my best to be less "misleading." in the future.

Now that California is over, an update on the crazy Texas situation
There are some states that always bet on a drawn out race. Illinois is one, Pennsylviania another. California used to be but has now moved up front with most other states. California saw it really pay off in 1968, when it really looked like THE state (unfortunately for Bobby Kennedy). In the 1984 race many of these states looked like major battlegrounds given both the late Hart revival and Jesse Jackson's unexpected strength at Mondale's expense (until, of course, the H-town comment sealed the deal for Fritz). Since 1984, none of the races have really made it that far, in part because the calendar has become much more compressed. While there are ways I'd like to see the process get more compacted, I think the Nat'l perspective is that an early decision lets the winner focus on November more quickly.

Oh stop I'm blushing. And I don't even have a speech prepared. All I can say is that I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me, and also I'd like to thank all the right-wing freaks out there who gave me such excellent material to regurgitate. Really, it amazed me how easy it is to sound like a right-wing lunatic. So much easier than actually thinking about things. I don't feel like I deserve any credit.
I'm just so honored.

So the long Fringey day does end with a left hook. Good to see. All the sarcasm fit to post.

Bustamante'd
According to CNN.com, apparently Bustamante keeps his job as lieutenant governor under Arnold.
Are there odds available for when he'll get into his first pointless pissing match with the Terminator, and over what subject?
Parking spaces having been done in the Gray days, I'm thinking cuts to Cruz's office redecoration budget.

And that "actually thinking." thing is exactly why I should have done drugs. Lots of them. But they'd probably just make me more of a "right-wing." freak.
