The research (and i'm not really sure that the research method was sound, you may differ in your opinion) suggested it was somewhere around mid-thirties that people generally stop looking for new things to listen to.
The counter, apparently, is to not get settled in or excel in the place you work. People who move around in their jobs a lot seemingly recover their edge.
I, frankly, find myself looking for more new stuff to do and experience as I approach my mid-30s, so I'm not necessarily convinced by this guy's conclusions.

I've never really stopped looking at new stuff. I like some and I don't like a lot, but I still listen to new bands and explore and I'm in my mid-40s.

With all the 80s revival stuff going on lately have you tried making her give a listen to the Killers or I Love You but I've Chosen Darkness or The Faint? I'd think that now is a great time for anyone into 80s nostalgia.

The only thing worse than a steady diet of crappy 80s music is a steady diet of new "80s revival" bands. Can't somendy at least have the decency to sound like Husker Du or the Pixies or the Mats or something? Early REM/DBs/Let's Active? It's not like I'm asking for Black Flag or something. Fuck it, I'd settle for recycled L..A. "neo psychadelic". The 3 O'clock, anyone?
btw, Pennywise is coming with the Circle Jerks opening up. Part of me wants to go, but I'm not sure I could take a 40-something Keith Morris. Any thoughts?

I discovered today that Sirius radio currently has a channel dedicated entirely to The Who.
I cannot turn it off. That's some good shit.

I'd have to smash it with a hammer once they got to "Goodbye Sister Disco"

Ok, now I've got a couple of tracks from the on my Pod. Along with some Jay-Z and some Ice-T and a few Kanye West tunes. So if I'm getting this, then NWA and Ice-T would be hip-hop and the Black-Eyed Peas would be mainstream shite?

Wonderful song. Truly a work of art.
Also one of the best tunes ever for writing song-parodies to.

Interesting about the medicine. The doc told me I could take Tylenol.

Tylenol would be okay because it's not a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. Aspirin and Advil would not be a good idea, though.

They also spawned some great covers of their stuff, e.g. Rage Against The Machine doing "Fuck Tha Police" and Soundgarden doing "Cop Killer" (ok,so that was Bodycount, and not just Ice-T, but you get the picture).

Unfortunately, I didn't happen to be home when it aired last night, and due to two small monkeys who had unfettered control of the universal remote, but do not totally understand how the DVR functions, the show did not record last night -- instead, and inexplicably, the machine managed to record ER instead -- even though it is on a completely different time and network. (Does anybody even watch that show anymore?)
If someone knows what happened in last night's episode and can give me a brief syopsis by PM, I would appreciate it.
TIA.

SPOILER
I'm sure you've heard from someone else by now, but if not, Ozzy got his hispanic tribe to throw the immunity challenge and vote out the heavy-metal fat guy, who announced that at tribal council that he had found true love with Candace, the boring blonde white chick. He told Probst that they had mouthed "I love you" to each other after the challenge.
I had to rewind to see. At the end of the challenge, Fat Guy was saying "I'm the one who's going home," and Candace said "Awww, we love you." And Fat Guy said "I love you" back to her.
Awesome awesome stuff.
