I don't need a passport for Hawaii, right? Assume I have about a week, but don't want to spend a whole ton of money because I'm stingy, and want to go to Hawaii and stay somewhere that is not nasty but where I can hear the waves as I drift off to sleep. Ideas?

the problem with being homeless is in the endlessness of it. c.f. spending a week homeless on a beach in Ha is the perfect stress reliever. get a tan? sure.
Fight the crowds at the happy hours? who needs it.
as to where to drop your pack- It's more crowded close to the shelters, but you're healthy enough to walk a mile or so for the gratis dinners. Hint- purse and plane tix in a locker
