New Binion Murder Verdict
That is sad. I hope the judge maxes out the sentences on the other counts.

The best uniforms in football belong to Penn State. If Alabama left their player's names off of their jerseys (you don't need numbers and names to identify the players -- it's redundant), they would be number two. Not counting throw-backs, the normal Browns uniforms win in the pros. The Jets (when they aren't wearing green on green) come in second. Seattle and Buffalo are tied for last.
In baseball, the Yankees and the Red Sox home uniforms are the best. The Braves and the Giants home unis are tied for second.

Yep. I like the color orange. I especially like rhyming the word "orange."

Roomba
Amazon.com has the entry-level Roomba Red for $125 after applying a $25 housewares discount. That is pretty cheap, and the reviews are all very positive.
Has anyone used one of these? I think that there were some discussions earlier. For $125, I almost want to give it a try. I have about 1800 square feet of hardwood on one floor, and the hair from two dogs is pretty overwhelming.
Do these work as well as they are supposed to?

New Binion Murder Verdict
Wow.
In related news, I recently acquired Donohe Digital's No Limit Texas Hold'em ( http://www.ddpoker.com/). I believe this is the software used by McManus in preparation for the WSOP. The "easy" setting is fairly easy to master -- keep raising to steal blinds and you eventually whittle your opponents down. I have gotten to where I can win sattelites on a fairly consistent basis. I'm looking for a career change. Anyone care to join me on a poker tour?

TM, time to brush off that "I quit" speech
Damn. Why is this never me? I have $80k in student loan debt.
NEW YORK - With just 78 cents in his savings account and $44,000 owed to creditors, parking attendant Juan Rodriguez plunked down $1 on a lottery ticket.
He won a $149 million lottery jackpot.
Rodriguez, 49, of Queens, bought his Mega Millions lottery ticket about one month after filing for bankruptcy.
According to court papers, Rodriguez had exactly 78 cents in his savings account and nothing in his checking account. He owed $19,486 on one credit card and $10,070 on another. And he owed the Internal Revenue Service $2,279.

Go work as parking attendant. Or in a factory. Or maybe as a waitress ... a cop might give you a winning ticket as a tip!
ETA I bet my next lottery ticket that guy runs out of money within 5 years.

I'm only funny when I'm using other peoples' material. Just like PLF, except that my theft is intentionally obvious.
