She's a Wisconsin law professor with a knack for stirring shit in the blogosphere. Here's her blog. This is not her blog, but perhaps it's more fun. This page gives you some sense of Althouse's problems with Jessica Valenti's breasts (the thing that set her off in that clip).

Oh Criminey!
Complaining about the way that another feminist stands in a picture with Clinton (not this guy but Althouse).
Whqat a bunch of profoundly unlikable tools. The whole thing reminds me why I don't spend much time taking these people seriously.

Is Congress going out of session early in the day? I say it doesn't happen until (a) they're all on their planes back to the hom district (b) the Friday evening news shows have already set their scripts.

They'd break away for this one - "Breaking News". On the other hand, no one watches the news on Friday, so who cares? Why not let it on, so you can be sure you also get the Saturday paper (which no one reads) instead of the Sunday paper? If you have the plan, it will be 6:30 or 7:30, not 6:00. But I suspect mid-day Friday would do just fine.
That having been said, is taking the 5th a result of being blamed for a boss-man lying to Congress, or is the greater concern that the White House's attempt to interfere in a criminal prosecution for political gain might be criminal? Because the first just lands a Deputy AG, but the second means Karl Rove gets to hire himself a good criminal attorney.

I suspect it is only the former.
But can someone explain to me how it is a defense for Gonzalez to say that he wasn't involved in discussion about who to replace? Even if he wasn't lying (which he is), isn't that enough reason for him to go? How are high-level personnel decisions -- especially ones with potential political ramifications -- happening without his input?

Remember the context -- middle-aged feminists in academia.
In that crowd, she's quite the sex kitten.

Given the choice, I'd rather talk about it than talk about why I'm not talking about it.
I hope Iran releases the British troops.
There, I went first.

Uh, it took until the 3rd website (NYT, Fox I struck out on) to find the story. Apparently some soldiers in disputed waters. Iranian or Iraqi territory? Unsettled. There are talks.
Club, can you kind of set out what there is to discuss?
I too hope the British soldiers are released, and I also hope they weren't actually spying.
