Question: If the Colts beat the greatest team to ever play football in the history of the world, will they automatically take over the title and line up for their non-stop cock suckings from each and every sports journalist? Or will we have endure some made-up crazy ass reason why the Patriots will continue to be the favorites?

Why would I do that?
I don't know, or particularly care (I'll see the game, of that I am sure), but here is the Peter King quote:
Quote:
This matchup was a national prime time game on NBC in November 2006, but because the league likes to not play favorites with it broadcast partners, it awarded the 2007 game to CBS for national telecast on a CBS doubleheader weekend. In order to give Colts-Patriots the widest possible national exposure, the league scheduled only one other late CBS game on Sunday --Houston at Oakland. If the game does not sell out, the only major market in the country that will not show the Patriots and Colts will be Houston.
|
I'm not sure why he is asserting that it will be played in Oakland (I assume the Bay area IS a major market). Maybe because it is "for national telecast"? I would think that Peter King knows what he is talking about, but the Bay area has my condolences if they are forced to watch Oakland-Houston instead.

No one wants the Colts to win more than sports journalists, who are getting tired of writing the same story every week. They have to keep upping the hyperbole, and it's getting pretty awkward for everyone -- not least Belichek, who has to dig pretty hard to find some way to remind his guys that they have chips on their shoulder.

On a separate note, regarding how pathetic TM calls me, I challenge him or anyone else to indicate a ton of legal secretaries that a.) have a bachelor's degree and b.) that their husband has a bachelor's degree as well as a year of law school. you'd be hard pressed. i'm not saying I'm impressive---it's a big yawn I concede but I'm not pathetic.

Just a note on pathetic:
1. Not Pathetic--Guy with no post-high school education who works at a gas station.
2. More pathetic--Guy with doctorate who holds same gas station job.
3. Even more pathetic--Guy with doctorate who holds same job, but is proud that his wife couldn't finish law school.

Does anybody here live near Laguna Beach, or have any of you vacationed there? What are some can't-miss activities and places?

A friend of the family has a PhD from Princeton in something impressive and esoteric like Nuclear Biophysical Mechanics, and likes to work as a projectionist. When he applies for jobs, he tends to omit all his education after high school.

Apparently the NFL changed its rule. The game is in Oakland. If it's sold out, then that's the game on there. If it's not sold out, the game is blacked out in Oakland, but CBS can put a different game on instead, which will be the Pats-Colts. It used to be the rule that if the home game was blacked out, nothing could be shown in that time slot.

I first met Eva Silverstien when she showed up as a stripper/police woman at my roomies' b-day party, at Pennypacker.
She already had a Master's in physics and was just finishing her thesis for the PhD.

One of the waitressy friends I lost contact graduated from BU and now works as a barber in Maine.
so basically, J Fred is calling me pathetic for being over qualified for my job? So the girl here from Columbia is uber pathetic or the dude from brown? I'm not super duper proud of my job but I don't think I'm pathetic.

I'm not sure that there really are, beyond resort-ish type activities, and its relative proximity to Newport Beach to the north, or Dana Point to the south. Which both seem to specialize in resort-ish type activities.
If str8 here still here, I'm sure he could educate us further, though. <*sniff*>

He was just posing for the camera. I saw his sleeve bat at several of the big smiling things. It's so cute when the children try to be coy.

This implies a possibility that there are times when my TITS! don't look good, which is an implication with no basis in fact.

They don't ask you to pay for your listing, but you will be bothered inperpetuity with offers to get special wodden plaques with an ingraved reproduction of your entry, an opportunity to be one of the select few that get the quarterly updates to the directory, and maybe, just maybe, an offer to buy a video demonstrating the secret handshake.
