No, but you do have a branding ritual. Ask Ty, but from what I understand it's not that bad.

When you did your first deposition did the senior partner yell at you for not asking the witness if he had ever been convicted of a crime?
First motion call, did you get yelled at by SP for not starting with "If it may please the court", or bothching that privity argument?"
Something caused you to be realy judgemental of young people in a pressure situation.

For some, I hear it can be down right pleasurable.

Nah, I was always surrounded by supportive types, who just put their arm around my shoulders and said, "Well, son, I reckon you did your level best." They were often shaking their heads at the time, which I took as a subtle sign of encouragement.

Oh good, so think about it, and know somewhere there's a grizzled Sarge telling a young private from Iowa, next time to remember to be inclusive, and mindful of the feelings of our UN Bretheran when taking in a deposed dictator from out of a hole in the ground.

I am pretty sure that the standard line for grizzled sargents to tell young privates from Iowa is that there is nothing in Iowa but queers* and steers and I don't see any horns on you boy.** But I could be wrong.

I don't live in that municipal freak show known as San Fransico. I live in Silicon Valley with more normal (albeit more geeky) people.

Mmmmm Bacon
I guess Saddam, his calls for jihad notwithstanding, wasn't very strict in observing Islamic dietary laws.
Contents of Saddam hideout include canned ham and sausages
You can take the politician out of the office, but you can't take the hypocrisy out of the politician.

It's Starting
"WASHINGTON -- The Washington congressman who criticized President Bush while visiting Baghdad last year has questioned the timing of the capture of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., told a Seattle radio station Monday the U.S. military could have found Saddam "a long time ago if they wanted." Asked if he thought the weekend capture was timed to help Bush, McDermott chuckled and said: "Yeah. Oh, yeah."
The Democratic congressman went on to say, "There's too much by happenstance for it to be just a coincidental thing."
When interviewer Dave Ross asked again if he meant to imply the Bush administration timed the capture for political reasons, McDermott said: "I don't know that it was definitely planned on this weekend, but I know they've been in contact with people all along who knew basically where he was. It was just a matter of time till they'd find him.
"It's funny," McDermott added, "when they're having all this trouble, suddenly they have to roll out something."

Saddam's last hiding place
How long Saddam had lived in the squalid mud hut is not known, but a half-finished dinner of Turkish delight and baklava suggest he was in the middle of eating when American troops swooped

What is the timing issue?
the guy I quoted made reference to some upcoming Dem. debate.
Is it Xmas?
Just counterdicting the constant attack news?
It seems to me, if timed, the best time would be once the Dems had bought into Dean as a little more inevitably the candidate.
Does anyone get the timing being particularly significant theory?
