Actually, I really do believe this.

First, I wouldn't be snooping.

Second, if I were snooping and found something, I'd be so freaked out that I was snooping and found something that I'd freeze up for a while.

Third, profit.

And I do think snooping is akin to cheating. They are both violations of trust. In fact, I'd probably get over cheating easier than I'd get over snooping. I'm not saying this is normal or anything. Just that it's how I feel.

Okay. So it's not really "fruit of the poisonous tree." I thought that was a bit extreme. You can't confront the SO with the direct product of the snooping, but you can use that info to develop some non-snooping base info with which to confront the SO.
