Good point. Yes, you wouldn't want to be caught wearing blue in the wrong neighborhood.

Since you're on a roll, can you explain to me why anyone would want to have a carnival in the winter in sub-zero temperatures, and why the Vulcans are there?

I am not sure if this is wishful thinking or not, but I think that it could be a good thing. He is a moody player, but when he is on, he is arguably the best in the world. Will the possibility of playing in the playoffs motivate him? And surrounding talent -- for all the knocks I make on the Rangers, they do have some impressive skill players. Bobby "I Have A Freakishly Large Head" Holik. Eric "The Eggshell Headed Plaintiff" Lindros. Mark "Grey Headed If I Didn't Shave It" Messier. Plus people like Nedved and Kovalev and Leetch.*

The Rangers need some goals. Jaromir might give them some, and be the spark that gets the others scoring, too. Of course, they also need some defense and goaltending. And some Geritol for Messier.

*Couldn't think of any head jokes for them.

He's thinking of ways to get Grant Fuhr and Esa Tikkanen in Ranger blue.

If this is your daughter, I can see the resemblence. Can I have her hand in marriage?

If not, carry on.

Crooked Timber wonders about something that's been eating at me for, oh, about fifteen years: Why is it that every Army surplus shop in the world appears to have rack after rack of German army surplus shirts? Is this the result of a monumental purchasing error by the German Army or something?

We had already Tikkanen - twice for that matter

Now Paul Coffey is another story

Two things I was very surprised to learn:

1) Jagr is 31. Anson Carter is already 29. For some reason, I thought he was much younger and we were giving up at least 5 years

2) Carter has the quietest 10 goals I've ever seen. He has been the invisible man since we acquired him.

3) A Jagr - Nedved - Kovalev line sounds fantastic - on paper

It doesn't have the same zing as "Why does the drive-thru ATM have braille keys?" but it'll do in a pinch.

The Stuff That Legends Are Made Of

I heard Captain Kangaroo referred to on the news as a legend. Have we really sunk that low as a society?

If you're looking for live action action, Gina from "Sesame Street" is a dirty hottie. (Confidential to Flinty: she's also a vet, KWIM?)
Confidential to Atticus: Indeed, I do KWYM. Remember that time at Sesame Street Live when we told her we were movie producers? Easiest pickup in history.

p.s. Pay no mind to the naysayers, Kim Possible is indeed a sweet sweet piece of cartoon ass.

yes ncs.,.
sebastian, earlier you had felt that both Rush and Reese should be anally raped due to annoying qualities. i certainly wouldn't claim you are not tolerant of the non-annoying, but you seem to take a hard line with the annoying.

but certainly I didn't mean Sebastian is annoying, to the contrary.

Since I have been home from work, we've had:

Ghost Ship (OMG, this sucked.)
Highlander the tv series
G4 (the channel . . . and here I thought Ghost Ship sucked)
TechTV (another channel I didn't realize we had on digital cable)

The poor dear. If he weren't ailing, I would be kicking his ass.
if you had only waited to meet "the one" you be compatible with the remote......c'est la vie!

Ok, now I get this board. Anal rape is funny, but black (kinda) guys marrying really, really, really white chicks is offensive. It all makes sense now.
