Neither will take the fucking hint. Short of TELLING THEM TO BUZZ OFF what should I do? I just want them to leave me the fuck alone.
I would suggest that you stop trying to insert yourself in their conversations and when they say, "Go away," do so.

I groaned when I pulled into the post office parking lot a few days ago because every space was full. I was surprised to find when I got inside though that most of the people were waiting in line for the passport people.

With the January 23rd deadline coming up, now is definitely not the time to get a passport unless there's some pressing need to visit a dying relative or something. This goes double for anyone who lives in a state that borders on Canada or Mexico.

I didn't say I was the romance. I'm planning on getting her "dates" to help cover the costs.

30 Rock

Has really come into its own.* Baldwin is outstanding. So is Tracy Morgan, but we already knew that.

And Dennis is hilarious.

*whatever the hell that means.

do you realize the implication here that the Bush administration can do at least one thing well?

Actually, to get it in a day we went to a private service that expedited the process -- for a fee. Not sure what they spent it on to get the deal done, but it sure seems like this administration can make anything happen for the right amount of cash.

Add this to my Christmas wish list.

ETA: though I suppose it could fall under the "new kitchen" catchall.

Did everyone have their respective holiday parties? Did you enjoy the venue? Was the food good? The DJ? Well attended?

Yo Adrienne

I walked past a premier for "Rocky Balboa" the other night. The streets were crowded. People were clamoring to get a look at Sly. How bad are things when you're hanging outside that gig? The optimist in me insists they were paid extras. Stallone is pretty fucking wealthy.

hank -- not sure who might be showing up at casa chinaski -- I did not get a PM. And I have freezing cold every Xmas in chicago. And if I won't charge for my services* why would I let you charge for my services?

*once I did ask someone to bring me a latte, kind of as a joke.

I'd like a new kitchen too, but I'll settle for a new cooktop (the current one cracked when a pint glass fell on it (don't worry Ironweed, the pint glass was empty at the time so no beer was harmed)) and a peppermill.
