I haven't turned on my earth-bound radio for almost 2 years.
I will admit though that I am thiiiiis close to giving up my satellite for my TV in exchange for digital cable.

As other have noted, the idea of listening to commercial radio these days is as absurd as Clear Channel's programming decisions.

I listen to NPR as well as commercial radio.
ETA and the only appealing/feasible idea was ppnyc's of gift cards, except that I just want to like put something out there for people to enjoy if they want, in a low-key way. I will probably go with cupcakes and let the chips fall where they may.

why bother saying it then? do you feel your opinion would somehow carry more weight than B&B's or mine?
You're effectively ppnyc if she were good-looking enough to get into internet movies.

Why is "Magic" listed as a "Bruce Springsteen" album and not a "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band" album?

You simply recommended alternatives to commerical radio stations. Taxwonk suggested sending a message to Clear Channel adevertisers. B'n'B sent the message that her non-satellite radio has become obsolete. All of which was good, but did not castigate Clear Channel as strongly as is necessary. Someone needed to step in a characterize Clear Channel as "absurd" or "ludicrous" or "ridiculous" in order get RT to realize that she should not care at all, much less be pissed off by, the Clear Channel programming decisions. That someone was me.
You could probably get a little YouTube air time if you started wearing better shirts.

I would like cupcakes, but I am festive.
Another spin on the gift cards.
Starbucks offers the specially marked I Tunes related gift card that you can load min. 5 bucks and you get 2 free songs when you register the card.
If your staff are I-PodManiacs that could work as well. People who don't like coffee can get a cheese plate or breath mints. or a stuffed animal or a marcus samuelsson cookbook.

Because most people don't really know the difference?
(I am not one of those people, mind you.)

if you reread mine, I accepted RT's positon that clear Channel has done something wrongheaded, but make no statement as to whether I know her statement true. I also mention that sirius would likely have a Bruce station, but again include no positive statement that it does. I maintain the hip high ground of not having any idea what might be played on clear Channel or whether there are adequate Bruce outlets. My internet persona wouldn't have any idea if clear channel had moved Bruce out to move Melt Banana in. My internet persona is simply to cool to know or care.

I'll have you know I ran to a 20 minute live "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and a couple cuts from "All Things Must Pass" yesterday.
All very horny.
The music, not me (a lot of old people work out at the gym during the day).

The change was made uptown when the big man joined the band.

Nah. Sebby also doesn't like songs with lyrics wistfully reminiscing about girls named Sandy or Wendy, mournfully expressing blue collar angst, or the joys of a '69 Chevy with a 396.
eta: That reminds me, I forgot to ask him what he thought of the whole big band horn section sound on many songs (like Touch Me) found on his favorite Doors album.
