I've been hit on a few times by gay dudes, and I find it nothing but flattering. What the hell? Why not take a compliment.
The only time it freaked me out was when I found a note on my car when I was leaving the gym which said "I've been noticing you and wonder if you'd be interested in meeting me. I'm a GWM. I'm tan, attractive and into weight lifting." That one freaked me out a bit. I parked elsewhere for a long time and always looked over my shoulder... The last thing I needed was to wake up in an alleyway with a chloroform hangover and a KY Jelly slick on my ass.

I think that David Geffin is also the "faggot" that Dire Straits is talking about in Money for Nothin.

Nope- I didn't read it that way. Nor did I get the impression that I did from leagl's post - it was just an overall thing, and I popped in on a "reply" at no specifically-aimed point. (It was mostly just timely, as I was in a discussion of rights v. politeness this morning.)

"Women who wear ugly Jones of NY suits and carry coach bags are not looking for attention from men"
Hope that doesn't include my Coach computer case since I know that has "do me" written all over it.

Which is why you concerned about the "KY jelly slick on your ass"? 'Cause we all know predatory chicks are looking to do guys in the butt all the time.
On the bigger picture, though, I felt pretty good the night I went out with a group of folks (about half men/half women). One guy kept staring over at us. The women were convinced he was staring at one of them. I was convinced he was checking me out. Proved my take on the situation when I walked out 15 seconds ahead of the rest of the group, and his eyes followed me right out the door, leaving the women in the group cursing their defective gaydar.

Look - everyone is somewhat right and somewhat wrong here.
Women who have their tits sticking out of their shirts do so for one reason and one reason only - to get male attention. However, it is one thing to look at them, another thing to stare at them, and even another thing to stare at them and say - "Whoa, Mama, where'dya get those hot lookin' tatas!" The problem is that there really are women who would like a man to scream that kind of shit at them. You can usually tell who they are because they have their tits hanging out of their shirts and are dressed like cheap whores in public. So men get confused.
Here is a rule of thumb for you guys to use. If the tits are hanging out of the shirt, look but don't stare. She wants you to look at them, that is why she has them displayed that way. If the tits are hanging out of the shirt and she is dressed like a cheap whore in public, stare at them. She really wants you to stare and shout something indicating your sexual desire for her, but if you do that and aren't a construction worker actually at work when she walks by, it makes you look bad.
Women who wear ugly Jones of NY suits and carry coach bags are not looking for attention from men, and are sure not to get any in an androgynous get-up like that. So, guys, if you are a freak of nature and would be turned on by that type of outer wear, leave women who are dressed like that alone! They are obviously trying to turn you off so get a fucking clue.
Leagle feels uncomfortable with the women in her class wearing low cut shirts because, for her (our) generation, it was not considered appropriate to wear low cut shirts to class. The younger people suckled on a diet of MTV and they don't see anything wrong with it. In their minds, if you flaunt your sexuality at a funeral it is appropriate. So Leagle, get a clue. They aren't trying to send you any sexual signals with their choice in dress. They are just trying to wear what they perceive as hip clothes. They have different fashion mores than we do and if you insist on making teaching them the law part of your career, you will have to get used to them dressing that way. Don't let it make you feel uncomfortable. It is just a tit.

But what of those of us who have such astonishingly perfect bodies for our ages, particularly our perky breasts and butt, that no matter what we wear we get comments? Is this just the price we pay for beauty?

Since the "subscribe" button goes to McSweeney's, I think that you can probably safely rely on your source.

It is so Hard to be a Guy
Paigow - I agree with you that you shouldn't be stared out or whistled out if you are wearing normal clothing. But you have to admit that there are women who wear outfits purposefully to get that reaction from men. I just think if they see a women who isn't dressed in one of those tits-hanging-out-everywhere kind of outfits, the men should realize that the catcalls and stares aren't appreciated.
For those of you who think what I have said is anti-feminist, or is otherwise a blame-the-victim mentality, I offer you this link to one of those women. SPEE- Naked pictures of some of the ugliest 20 year old breasts I have ever seen in my life. In addition, naked female asses. This is one of the most pathological woman I have ever had the unfortunate experience of reading about :
Patholgical Attention Seeking Woman's Website
With Tits Like This, Can You Blame Her For Wanting Implants?
Another Plastic Surgery Procedure She Wants To Undergo to Get Male Attention
Below is a quote from her website for those of you who can't view nudes at work. With women like her walking this earth, do you blame men for getting confused about all this?

THAT IS THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION!!!! Just like my boobs, I want a HUGE ass!!!! Not a fat, sloppy ass, but a nice, firm, round, FAT ass!! LOL!! I want people to see me and admire my HUGE assets - big boobs, lips and butt!!!! I want to walk out of a room and leave an impression, leave my mark, my scent, my memory. When I walk towards you, I want you to say 'HOLY SHIT, look at that chic's huge titts!!!!!! And fuck, look at her lips - those have GOT TO BE fake!!!' And when I turn around and walk away from you, I want you to say 'GODDAMN, that girl's ass is HUGE!!!!! Wait a minute, was that just Jennifer Lopez that walked by??!' Nah, my butt's going to be bigger than J.Lo's. LOL!!!! I want my butt HUGE, but I want most of the fullness to be in the middle to the bottom, not on top. I don't want no ghetto booty - a ghetto booty is when a butt is SO big and high on the top part, I think that looks awful *IMO* - I just want a ghetto SIZE booty, not an actual ghetto booty.

I am robustpuppy, don't abuse me for anon abuse
For some reason I cannot login as myself. I think my office PC does not agree with setting changes I made on my home PC.
Anyhew, over time I expect that we'll develop some new board etiquette rules specific to this new very awesome board. May I start with a request that we refrain from quoting posts in their entirety unless it's absolutely necessary? Especially when the post is verbose or obnoxious.
In all cases it aggravates my carpal tunnel, and in some cases it defeats the ignore function. (Not you Sebby, you hep cat.)
And is everybody convinced that JFF is a man?
