It can be done. You just need to find the right priest. They're not all rigid. It also helps if one of you is a heathen as was the case with both me and Sebby.

It has been bothering me for a month or so, but I was told it was muscular so I could keep up the usual workout pace, just not kick. It was not getting better though, so I kept cutting back and cutting back. It got worse this week - I went back to the doctor who now says that it's not muscular at all, it's ligamental (is that a word?). Anyway, I am getting acupuncture now as well as physical therapy. As well as sitting on my ass. Fuck.

The priest I had actually begged us not to have a mass because he had a lot of other shit to do that day (they sometimes pop off two or three weddings in one day). They will never do anything outdoors because of some odd money-making rule which requires the ceremony take place inside a church.

One of my best friends went to acupuncture school in NYC. She's in Vermont now, but if you don't have a good acupuncturist in the area, I can get you a referral.
I LOVE it when she needles me (I have a bad shoulder, neck, right arm, wrist, hand thing going. I blame law school.). I don't get to see her nearly enough.
She says her proudest moment in acupuncture thus far was helping someone get pregnant when all other therapies failed.
