I am unclear as to how Hillary Swank will pull off her role, but I am prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
James Ellroy's books generally do not work well as movies. LA Confidential was an exception; the Black Dahlia is not. There is some snappy dialogue, but not worth the price of big screen admission. Scarlett Johannsen is overrated. She can't act.

If you need a noir fix, see The Departed. It kicks ass.

Kate Winslet is just so real. And so pretty! I was struck by these pictures she is to me very beautiful.

Wow.

Jack in the Box vs. McDonalds

Has anyone had a Jack in the Box biscuit breakfast? They have a sausage egg and cheese biscuit as an actual menu item, whereas at McDonalds, it's a special order, and one might get a bacon egg and cheese biscuit if one is not paying attention in the morning. But I digress. JitB biscuits -- good?

Does anyone have a sausage, egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit?

You could probably special order it. But really, that's just excessive.

Do you think it would survive the trip?

That sounds AWESOME. Sausage gravy?

But I wouldn't want it as a dipping sauce. I'd want it as a sit-down meal, open-faced, on a plate, to eat with a fork.

But no bacon. NO BACON.

I think it would get all soggy. The integrity of the biscuit would definitely degrade, no? or squash. The messenger could be spiteful and squish that. or eat it...

Some of us here are working tirelessly to make the board a more tolerant, welcoming place where people can feel as if they are part of a caring community. Others seem to use the boards as nothing more than a vehicle for vicious, cruel, judgmental pronouncements about other posters, their personalities, looks, grammar, taste, sexual orientation and breakfast sandwich choices. I think the time has come for all of us to take a good, long look at ourselves and ask which sort of poster we are, and which sort we want to be.

Bacon on the side.
