These people have some nerve, especially given the following:

They are desperate. The latest poll I saw showed GWB with a 13 point lead (I think it was Newsweek's poll) and a job approval rating of over 50%. It is a done deal. They don't even need to bring OBL out of the secret prison they are keeping him in. They can keep him there torturing him with scary dogs and panties on his head utill 2008 when they can bring him out to help Rudy and/or McCain.
Oh but if we have a convention in 2008 like the one we had in 2004, we can keep OBL in panties for a long time 'cuz we won't need to bring him out for help.
Speaking of conventions, hey, what would he arm them with, Spitballs? Hahahahahahahaha. I still roll on the ground when I hear that one.
Oh it looks like Bubba has some good advice for JFK

For the record, I never said nuke anything. All I said was it seems like there is a big growing problem, and I would hope that people in a position to move the people in those countries in some other direction, might decide to start doing so.

I wasn't the one who suggested that Pat Buchanan should be allowed to speak. I think that Pat Buchanan should be stuck in a barrel with a whole drilled for air and feeding for about 21 years.

I'm glad to see you realize the bigotry in blaming (or expecting an apology from) any wasp other than the two that stung your kid (or wishing the wasps would condemn the tactics of the stingers). All this hoopla about there being an issue among many Muslims concerning the tendency to advocate or tacitly support the use of terrorist tactics is just discrimination against Muslims. Nineteen individual Muslims were responsible for the Towers and their inhabitants going down and nobody else period. Nobody has any business examining anything like the sentiment on the Arab Street, funding of those and other terrorists (by Mosques or other funding) etc., or encouraging a more vocal and public dialogue among influential Muslim groups. People like Fouad Ajami who want to see this dialogue? They're just "bigots" spewing "hatred" and they don't have "God on their side." Carry on
The cheering by these Egyptian residents of the WTC tower collapse has no broader meaning whatsoever beyond the men pictured. We should not expect anyone to condemn terrorist tactics and the loss of innocent human lives and to do so is bigotry. That they are Muslim is just a coincidence. Surely, hoardes of Irish Catholics stood in the streets of Dublin cheering too
|
Sorry. Your first picture didn't appear. However, from the url I will assume it is what is described as a person jumping from the Twin Towers. But I'm sure he or she was alive at the time, so we shouldn't assume you're sinking to gutter-level sensationalism or trying to appeal to peoples' baser instincts.
And people like Fouad Adjami aren't suggesting that any Muslim who fails to condemn the acts of terrorists is a terrorist or terrorist sympathizer. You are.
And you can dress it up any way you want. At the end of the day, I still see you preaching hate and fear. And that's as big a threat to our society as any terrorist. So I'm going to keep calling you on it. Because we need to foster a dialogue based on something other than hate and fear. Before it leads to action with no aim other than inducing terror.

If that wasn't the message you wanted to convey by your previsous post, juxtaposing sarcasm with the phtographs you chose, then what, pray tell, was the message?

I'm not so sure. Look for the polls to show a 3-5 point lead in about a week with 50 or so days left to go. To much time to run out the clock.

OBL on the Run
I know we've had false alarms before, but counterterrorism officials are reporting:

What I tell people, I would be surprised but not necessarily shocked if we wake up tomorrow and he's been caught along with all his lieutenants. That can happen because of the programs and infrastructure in place," he told Geo.
