As well, I take DMAE internally and have a topical DMAE serum which I apply - it seems to help. I think it's an antioxidant, but not sure.
A while back I had some thingey where they put a mini electric thingey on your face that seemed to spread little dust particles. (Diamond microdermabrasion?) It cost $150 and didn't seem to do anything. I just looked up "IPL facial" and it seems to be pretty major (6 treatments?) Here is a before and after photo I found:

I'm hesitant to try the Philosophy type products because I prefer the more hard core stuff at the dermatologists, but Fringey - do you swear by that stuff before I plunk down $85?

DTB: glycolic acid? Damn, I've been addicted to that shit since college. It always annoyed me that you had to pay $75 (this was in college) to get 1/2 teaspoon of the stuff on your face, only to rinse it off after 20 seconds. So....I went direct to the manufacturer and pretended I was manufacturing household cleaning products (thanks to the Internets I found out it was used in those products too). My cover was blown when I requested a gallon of the shit (that is 10 lifetimes of peels, but too little for cleaning products). Anyhow, the strongest stuff you can buy is http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/7...rder.htm]here. I use it occasionally - nice tight pores.

Okay I guess I'll get the DMAE stuff too. RT- are bcp's really good for the skin? I can't take them though. I get all weepy.

I do not swear by it. But I like it. I think it does the glow-y thing well. And it is only $65 -- you can get it at Sephora.

Why not get dermabraded (not microdermabraded) or have a real real peel at the dermatologist?

My mother-in-law is a dermatologist, so she keeps me in glycolic acid. The kind she gives me for home use is not full-strength, however. The peel she did on me (in her office) that turned my face to hamburger was the full strength. (she said it was "70" but I have no idea what that means)

The Anti-Str8

LONDON, Jan 9 (Reuters) - A Liverpool fan has won 25,000 pounds ($43,880) after betting that midfielder Xabi Alonso would score from his own half this season, British media reported on Monday.

Alonso managed the feat from about 60 metres with Liverpool's fifth goal in a thrilling 5-3 FA Cup third round win at second division Luton Town on Saturday after the hosts' keeper had gone up for a stoppage-time corner. Fan Adrian Hayward, 42, had placed his 200 pound bet at 125-1 after noticing the Spaniard had tried several times last season to score from the Liverpool half.

"Since placing the bet, I've always had a vision in my mind that it would come when the opposing keeper came out for a corner in a cup game," Hayward was quoted as telling the Daily Mail.

"I couldn't believe it when Luton got a corner and the keeper started to run upfield....I thought I was going to pass out. When it went in, I went crazy."

I'm a big fan of the DERMAdoctor stuff. You can buy it at Sephora.com too. Really excellent. My skin has never looked better.

Online gaming isn't all geeks- sometimes it can build a very sensitive mindset- and can make you appreciate your real life.

I remember when I first started playing Ages of Empire. It's a game where you start with a small population and some resources. You have to order your people to gather the resources (chop wood/mine, etc.) then you slowly built up technology and a military. You can really get a sense of attachment as you see your creation grow and thrive!

Meanwhile 4 or 5 other civilizations are developing on their own. some are allies, some enemies. eventually you have a war and one side is wiped out.

Learning to play I played against computer-supplied bots and at low skill level. Plus I had lots of cheats so even if I ever got in trouble I could cheat me some gold, or these nasty machine gun carrying race cars that could kill dozen of the sword/spear carrying infantry sent against me. It was a fun game.

Then I played online- no cheats and no control of skill level. There was something profoundly sad in watching my towns razed and peoples wiped out, and with nothing I could do about it.
When the same point was made with tic-tac-toe, it somehow seemed poignant. This, on the other hand, makes you look like a dumb.

reason #47 to be thankful for ncs

I could see Fringey starting to hang out with the wrong crowd if ncs didn't live nearby to keep her grounded.

  • Drunk girls attacked passers by

A mob of teenage girls launched a vicious unprovoked attack on a middle-aged man for refusing to allow them to use his mobile phone.

Fuelled by alcohol, they punched and kicked him before turning on a passing Good Samaritan who tried to stop the bloody assault.

A CCTV camera captured the sickening episode outside Pontypridd Railway Station at 12.20am.

A court was told the girls, three 19-year-olds and one 17-year-old, had been drinking heavily in the town centre before they rounded on their victim Philip Rees and then moved on to the second man, Celvin Greening.

How embarrassing is that to get your ass kicked by four drunken teenage girls outside of Pontypridd Station?

I guess you're now upset because she's infringing on the one market you've managed to corner?
