was brought up solely for political benefit. Harry Reid sponsoring a bill to "lift" something the President put in place is a move calculated to make you angry, not a move intended to get a ban lifted.
So far as you can tell, Reid wants to change the law in the way set forth in that bill. And you say this is acting "solely for political benefit"? What. Ever.

Anyhoo, you seem to think the President Bush's intransigence on this issue is simply a fact of life that everyone else should accept, and then move on. Reid, OTOH, understands that a lot of people care about this issue, and that putting some pressure on those who are standing in the way -- e.g., GOP members of Congress -- is a good way to improve the chances that this bill will pass in the next Congress and be signed by the next President.

I'm not saying Reid did something he shouldn't, I'm just saying RT should recognize the source of her anger this morning- or the root cause maybe, or at least the proximate cause, no not proximate cause because that is a negligence issue right? No, Reid intended for RT to get mad.

I thought you weren't in the business of telling people how to feel, or was that just for public consumption on that other board where you try to act all sensitive?

Right. Because he was calling attention to what President Bush is doing to obstruct what RT would like to have done.

I want for RT to know who she is mad because of, because sometimes she thinks she mad at me then I start having her toady, this Ty, start making me my own thread and telling me I have to go there only

2. This is really whoring it up for the Jesus Freak vote.

Why hasn't someone in the Dem party proposed a compromise allowing tax credits/breaks for private industry investing in stem cell R & D? That would work the best available end run around the problem. That delivery method would make the issue a little more opaque and complicated, two characteristics of issues which generally confuse Jesus Freaks.

It's not as compelling to scream about a tax credit structure benefitting stem cell research from the pulpit than it is to preach about a direct taxpayer subsidy.

RT was mad long before Ried got involved.

Since many of the current researchers in the field are in Universities and other not-for-profit institutions, tax credits aren't necessarily going to work one way or another. And that's where they should be. This is an area of inquiry in the basic sciences stages, and the field needs to be better understood by Science before industry can do anything profitable with it.

Better yet, why hasn't someone in the Dem party proposed a candidate strong enough on foreign policy so we wouldn't have to deal with infringements like these and others?
