Because "snyc" doesn't really have a ring to it? Well, unless you sound it out and add "er" to the end.

Speaking of none of that, does anyone else have a secret language that only them and their siblings understand? My sisters and I have a secret language, and we talk in it all the time, although it's somewhat difficult to express in email. We are dogged nerds though.

It's not necessarily a language, but we have a lot of shorthand that we use that confuses people listening in to our conversations with one another.

Quoted from the FAQ'S:
"How can I change the information in my profile? [edit your profile]
It is your responsibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. Once you have registered your username, it becomes yours for life. In extreme circumstances, you may request that the administrator change your username, but he will require a very good reason to do so. "
When I signed up for the board I was at that time a patent paralegal. [I had gone to school at night for ba, working as secty days, once I graduated became a paralegal for 3 years] Since then, over the 7 or so years since I've signed up I switched back into secty and then out of patent completely. When I considered should I change my name I saw the above. I was either too busy or too lazy or didn't think it was a big giant deal. Those that needed to know know. It's not like I "pretended" to be something that I'm not. The more logical choice for that would to pretend to be an associate which I never would do so. And for good or for bad all my stuff was associated with my monniker. I just didn't freak out about it. I'm not ashamed of being a secretary. It is what it is. money is the same if not better. you make it sound like I empty wastebaskets. although I guess I'd do that if it meant providing for my family. Like when 6th year slave switched out of law, he became slave no more. he's obv. more industrious than I am about re registering or petitioning RT to change his name. **Lesson to newbers pick a general name and nothing to do with your title. that way you are always say, HBM or John Phoenix forever!

I like snicky too but I'm too lazy to change at this point.....and in certain instances but not always the money is better and more overtime in secty. not always but what i've found. if I'm going this route could I be snickerdoodle? that way if I segue into lead food server it will be a seamless transition.
