Well, let me tell you something, funny boy. Y'know that little sheet, the one that says "Sign Up for Aerobic Machines"? Well that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. One whole hell of a lot. Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before: Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about reserving exercise machines? Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without health clubs, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to lose weight, but what about that fat girl, walking in, only has an hour, right now, in a health club and finding some cat on the machine for the whole hour she has? Doesn't SHE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about signing up or going over your time, you'd better think again. This is about that chubbo's right to work the machine without getting her time wasted! Or: maybe that turns you on, Sebby; maybe that's how y'get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies. Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over. Y'got a half hour, Sebastian.

Fuck off, Bookman.

I'm the kind of person who adapts. If I signed up and someone took my machine, I'd just move to something else. I'm not into enforcing anyone's "rights" all that stridently, even my own. That's probably why people take advantage of me at work. If an assistant wouldn't do something timely or do it at all, I'd just do it myself. I just figure, I don't want to deal with anybody'r "rights" or "duties" or any of that crap. I just want to do what I want to do and be left alone. So actually, honestly, I don't read any rules. They'll crop up if I violate them and make thmeselves known.
Is there something wrong with not wanting to deal with that sort of stuff. Why do I have to know yard markers if I can eyeball what club I should hit? Why do I need to know street names in manhattan if I have a kinda-photographic memory for things and can find my way based on landmarks? I think I have dyslexia because anything with a graph or a pile of directives on it just turns to a blur in front of my eyes. I'm hopeless to fill out forms of any kind. And you people just make fun of me for it. Which hurts.

Damn right, dude. Rules are for suckers. And for the weak.
I mean, some rules are O.K., I guess. If you are a weak ass sucker. If you are, you just keep on making up and following the rules, like the pathetic little weak ass sucker that you are. Me? I'll be doing my own thing, thank you very much. But it's not like I have anything against sucker ass rule followers like you. Really. Tell you what. I'll try not to ejaculate in your wife's hair this evening while your stuck at work following the rules. O.K.?

I know lots of men who fall into neither of those categories. Some of them even live in New York.

You should ask them to check out ppnyc and report back. It's time we put someone more objective than Thurgreed, that lyin'-ass bitch, on this project.

So you're saying Bruce is single?
I fail to understand why this would be a bad thing in my book.

Not a bad thing, but I figured your world view would be changing substantially with this news.
You're going to have to hurry, though, as I suspect my mother is booking a flight to New Jersey as I type.

He lives in Colt's neck near Middletown the 9/11 book setting, which is near Rumson where a lot of hedge fund types live.

I love Bruce but when I first saw the photo of him that accompanied the article, for a split second I thought it was Keith Richards. He is not aging terribly well.
