We saved a shit-load of money on the project, $21 of off-loaded dirt notwithstanding.
We got everything done for about 20% of the lowest estimate we received prior to deciding to do the project ourselves.

Would it help if I told you that I spent the weekend on the beach in SoCal drinking wine in absolutely perfect weather? But that when I came back home, I had to fertilize the petunias I planted last week (oh my back) and that in order to plant said petunias, I had to buy a bag of dirt that I had to carry all by myself and that one square yard of it cost me $14.99?

I'm killing me, too. As I said before, it's not like this was my idea of a fun way to spend the Memorial day weekend. I would have much rather rented a speed boat and grabbed a case of beer and a cooler of food and spent the time sunning myself and cruising up and down the St. Croix and possibly engaging in marital relations in the middle of the river on the rented boat (which is what we did last year on for Memorial Day), but my wife had other ideas about what we should do with our time this year.

I paid full fucking retail just so that I could open the door to my backyard after 1 week and say "look at my beautiful back yard. I didn't do shit." Except plant the petunias.
