And I was wrong about the USFL having Canadian teams. What I am remembering is when the CFL expanded into the US sometime in the late 80s, I think.
It wouldn't be the USFL if it had a team in Toronto.

But, you are right. Who can forget the Las Vegas Posse and the Birmingham Barracudas? (ooh, barra, barra, barracuda!)

Pitt

Brad Pitt says "strippers changed my life."

Quote:
Talking about one of his first jobs at Newsweek's annual Oscar roundtable Saturday in Hollywood, Pitt said, "My job was to drive them to bachelor parties and things. I'd pick them up, and at the gig I'd collect the money, play the bad Prince tapes and catch the girls' clothes. It was not a wholesome atmosphere, and it got very depressing." "This girl – I'd never met her before – was in an acting class taught by a man named Roy London," a famous acting coach, he said, according to excerpts in this week's Newsweek. "I went and checked it out, and it really set me on the path to where I am now."

He added: "Strippers changed my life."
Sorry, the title was misleading to me as well.

Houston Gamblers. Where Jim Kelly got his illustrious start.

I am indeed right. I am glad you corrected yourself. Because somehow it is still the NHL even though there are teams in Florida and Los Angeles. And still the NBA even though there is a team in Toronto. And, as you note, it remained the CFL even though there were teams in Las Vegas and Baltimore.

And there was the unforgetable Montreal Machine of the World League of American Football.

I always wondered why they call it the World Series, when only teams from the NL and AL participate in it.

That cottage cheese with pineapple that always looks sort of intriguing?

Yuck. It makes cottage cheese even less tasty. Blech.

Obviously, this is just my opinion, and it's possible that others may love it with the burning passion of a million suns.

If I were being kind, I would say that it is called the World Series because when the championship was first named, the US was the only place in the world that professional baseball was played. So the "world" of baseball was limited to teams from the US.

Cottage cheese with pineapple has never, ever, looked even vaguely intriguing.

I watched the entire season of Prison Break (current season to date) and every single one of the show with the guy who was on Sex and the City as Carrie's bf for a while that is about FBI negotiators this weekend -- maybe I killed all my brain cells that govern taste and judgment?

2. But pineapple on pizza is surprisingly yummy.

You Canadians are so polite. Even to arrogant American baseball team owners..

At the risk of beating this farther into the ground:

If it's plain as your nose that it's a foul, then they should call it a foul. But the borderline calls shouldn't be made, and calls not affecting play shouldn't be made unless they're really egregious. I'm not saying Zidane stays on the field. I'm saying that NBA games should be decided by field goals, not free throws.
