The babyjesuschristsuperstar weeps at their willful disregard of his righteous teachings and the love that we try to spread (platonically) through the UMC.
Come to the light Not Bob. You are a good man at heart, unlike many of your irredeemable fellow supporters of the corrupt, plantation style racist policies of the Dimwitocrats. Though I fear that Sidd and Ty may be too far gone (sorry, Ty@50), perhaps if you lead enough of your brethren to the light we can all await the rapture together without being forced to exercise our Second Amendment rights all over their asses in moral and ethical self-defense. PoTM. Well done S_A_M. I feel my investment in the soul of this board may be paying off. Finally. It's only taken me 5 years and 18,347 posts from 117 socks.

Actually I switched gears. Started making my own meth in the basement. Some of that with Rush turned 11 on the surround sound is all the inspiration I need.

Et tu, Bruta?
DATELINE: EARLIER THIS WEEK:
Hillary Clinton Blasts Bush During Atlanta Speech
"We need a much stronger commitment to the underlying values of America," Clinton said, adding that the U.S. needs to follow the rule of law in setting its foreign policy.
Asked about Bush Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers, Clinton said she's eager for the Senate confirmation process to be played out. She did say there is one question she thinks Miers should be asked.
"Please tell us one thing you disagree with the president on," Clinton said to loud applause from the crowd.
Dear Hitlery,
Please tell us one underlying value of America that you have ever had any agreement with?
HINT: Neither of RedChinese style Communism nor anything in Mao's little book are underlying values of America (yet, notwithstanding you and your husband's attempts to the contrary

A Lawyer Deployed to Iraq
Slate has started a series of articles from an LA Associate at McKenna Long & Aldridge/Reservist/Occasional Slate Contributor who's been called up to serve with the 101st Airborne.
Nothing dramatically new in this account, but it looks to be a moderately interesting read nonetheless.

There's an entire new brochure they use to target law types. It replaces "be all you can be" with "No Billable Hours!" Response has been good.

Islam: a Religion of Peace and Tolerance aka harmony and kindness
A Muslim cleric who has prayed to "terminate" the Jews was awarded Islamic Personality of the Year at a ceremony in which he called Islam a religion of "harmony and kindness" that rejects terrorism.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais – the veteran Quran reader and imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia – prayed to Allah in 2003 in front of 2 million followers to "terminate" the Jews, who he called "the scum of humanity, the rats of the world, prophet killers ... pigs and monkeys."
Al-Sudais has described Jews variously as "evil," a "continuum of deceit," "tyrannical" and "treacherous,"
"His remarkable and ear-catching intonation of the Quran during the Haj [pilgrimage] season and during the Taraweeh [special night prayers during Ramadan] in the holy mosque has made him very famous and beloved among the Muslim community," said Saeed Hareb, vice chairman of the organizing committee.
Al Sudais reflects a bright picture of Islam and Muslims, Hareb added.
Obviously he is one of those elusive moderate Islamists that the liberals and their Euro friends are always telling us about.

"Many"? Who?
Is that like the "many" liberals who believe that Saddam should be returned as the leader of Iraq, based on the postings on Democratic Underground?
Are we speaking of "most"? "A lot"? "Some"? "One I read about in TNR"?
Is it important to you that State and CIA seem to have more than a "fringe" of such people?
|
I am too lazy to google this, but I bet that if I look at what participants in the VRWC (hi, Penske!) were saying when we bombed the Serbs, we might find some of that. Or if we looked at what some of those same people were saying when Elian was being sent back to Cuba.
In particular, I remember that GOP congressional opponents to the war in Kosovo cited the disagreement of unnamed "senior military sources" with the deployment of Apache attack helicopters and A-10 jets in support of their opposition.
Perhaps my recollection is wrong.

Where is this Democratic Underground? How come you have been there to know this but none of the supposed liberals on this board have ever seen it?
Is this going to turn out to be the political equivalent of those Communist party cells in the 50s that turned out to be entirely made up of various undercover law enforcement personnel? Is the alleged Democratic Underground made up solely of right wingers spouting off the views they wish Democrats held?
Just curious. Gotta link?

FWIW, I am hard pressed to recall a post I made under my primary or any sock criticising Clinton for bombing the Serbs. That is all.

Because, like Clinton, you are unrepetant liars. The rhetoric of the left on this board stinks of the odour of your DU handlers. they don't call them DUmmies for nothing.
