Well congratulations because your wilful ignorance has resulted in you being wrong and Spank and me being right.
Lisa Myers is reporting on the bus fiasco now on piece on MSNBC that is a rebroadcast from the nightly news. titled "Missed Opportunties". This story is breaking hard, apologize before it is too late!!!

Where in the world are the NO's buses

How the FUCK did Rita Cosby ever get a reporting gig? Does that woman not have the most annoying voice ever to be broadcast? I thought at first her name was Rita Crosby and I was going to blame it on some family connections, but unless her dad is Bill I'm now stumped.
I blame Katrina for the assault to my eardrums that is Rita Cosby's voice. I never would have encountered her if it weren't for this national tragedy. Think I can get any FEMA money for my pain and suffering?

Maybe you should stop all this and put your efforts into getting your people to higher ground?

And I wouldn't be so quick to say what Blanco and Nagin have or haven't said unless you're listening to local radio in the area.

Senator Landrieu threatened the physical being of the President in violation of federal statutes (which same statutes led to wonk being censored on this board). When are you going to decry such crime and call for appropriate action? Or do you defend her crime?

You can't run an "ethnic cleansing" on this board. They're like cockroaches... the arguments over the minutia would survive a nuclear war...

half the number of people might have made it manageable. Look at the graphic in my later post.....Nagin wanted 500 buses to help evacuate the Dome. He let 250 plus drown. It could have made a difference. Earlier you defended Sean Penn who rescued a couple of people. Now you downplay 250 bnuses that could have saved tens of thousands. Please come back to the sane Ty, I have faith in you.

Take a good look at the picture and let us know what you think. Also let us know Why Nagin let them drown.

I was at a Vons in San Diego the other day, and was blown away by all the merlots (and the lack of zinfandels) in the wine section. Do Southern Californians drink a lot of merlot?

I was quoting Penske's guy and I said it was dumb. FWIW.

Not to worry. We've all got the submarine Lotuses that Roger Moore bought in The Spy Who Loved Me.

It would have been fantastic if only half as many people had been at the Superdome. I cannot believe that you are so dense that I actually have to say this.

The buses look wet. I'd like to know why they weren't used to help people leave town.

the smoking bus
I just got an email from a conservative pal. Seems concerned patriotic citizens are looking into the Bus issue that Ty and the MSM have tried to cover up.
This was found in Google's cached pages and is the meeting minutes for the June 5, 2005 Board meeting for the Orleans Parish School district:
64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:-NDJWqbkSEUJ: http://www.nops.k12.la.us/content/bo...n&client=opera[add "http://" to the front and cut and paste the link]
The discussion included very specific references to discussions with the City over the use of school buses to evacuate the citizens of New Orleans during a hurricane.
Ms. Bartholomew:
If a hurricane should come to the City in order to save the school buses, those assets, the City had asked if we would loan the school buses to be utilized for those persons in New Orleans. A lot of the citizens of New Orleans do not have transportation and have no way of evacuating from the City if a hurricane should come this way
... They wanted to utilize school buses in order to transport those persons out of the City
.He wanted the Board to be aware of what the City is doing with hurricane preparedness and I guess initiate the proceeding for the Administration to start taking steps now before we get on the door steps of a hurricane.
Mr. Sanders:
.. even though it is a City responsibility to plan for emergencies and hurricane preparedness, we need to look at working even more cooperatively or seeking a more cooperative relationship with the City on behalf of the students that we serve. I did talk with Dr. Kevin Stephens in the Health Department of the City. It is our interest to get buses and other vehicles that we may own out of the City in the event it is being evacuated. So those buses should not be empty. It was also his suggestion and call that they should be filled with families and children that may need a ride out of City and may perhaps designate certain high schools in different neighborhoods as staging grounds for families to go to should the need arise for an evacuation.
.In the last two years we had evacuations and with this season it is predicted to be another big one.
Getting out of the City is the best option.
Ms. Bowers: We have been meeting with City entities about the hurricane preparedness and we have talked to them about our buses. We still have not defined how many they want
. I do want to assure you that the School District has worked with the City and worked with other entities within the community over the years when we are facing a hurricane. But we have always volunteered the use of our buses to evacuate citizens.
Ty, please explain and apologise. Time is running out before your defense of this Mayor becomes part and parcel of the coverup.
