I was up WAY past my bedtime last night, and I was having fun doing it. Much to my delight, After Hours was on HBO. I love that movie. Griffin Dunn, a hot Rosanne Arquette, John Heard, Catherine O'Hara, Teri Garr, and Cheech & Chong all in the same movie directed by Martin Scorsese. What more can you ask for?

I have a nephew who is a teenaged stoner slacker who plays something called "sweeper" for his HS soccer team -- when the lazy bastard comes over to sprawl on my couch to drink my diet Red Bull and eat my cheesy poofs, he invariably (without asking, of course) switches the channel on my tv to Fox Sports Net Glasgow or something to watch what his delightfully refers to as "futbol." Lovely.

As best I can tell, every 90 seconds in these games some Eurotrash loser flops on the ground screaming in agony like his leg had been shattered by a shotgun blast. If the whistle doesn't immediately blow, he pops back up and hustles after the ball.
