Why thank you. I'm so flattered.
I can't even begin to imagine what anybody's image of me is like, especially after today.

Two new marketing tag lines come to mind: (1) "Kimberly-Clark: We've got you covered, cradle to grave" and (2) "Kimberly-Clark: You make us wet."
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

The product liability issues you would encounter in that job just boggle (and disgust) the mind....
Besides, "Oops, I Crapped My Pants!!" is a much better product than Depends (I hear)...

I thought you were a pre-op transvestite, with hormone-swollen breasts and a shrunken (but only from its normal humonguousness, so still quite large) penis.
And big floppy ears. And cute melty brown eyes.

Wow, that's so accurate it's eerie. No wonder I'm never on any crush lists.
In other news, The West Wing is unofficially dead, for those of you who still care:

(spree: Aaron Sorkin and Tommy Schlamme are leaving, John Wells of ER/Third Watch will remain, dialogue will now be normally paced but will surely suck)

A friend of mine is running some sort of leaders in schools program and he asked a bunch of his friends if we'd go in and talk about what we do and how we got there. He's a licensed massage therapist, and he bribed us with free massages if we'd do it.
Anyhow, my sister and I and four other people met at the high-school, and we sat on a panel for an hour explaining what we do for a living to a bunch of sophmores and juniors in highschool. Damn, those kids are a lot younger than I remembered. At the question answer period, we got some funny questions. One kid wanted to know how hard the bar exam was. Another wanted to know how to pay for med school, and could you work part-time while you went to med school. The best one, though, was the kid who said "I'm going to be a CEO when I grow up," and he pointed to my sister since she was the only one with the word "executive" in her title, and started quizzing her. I don't think he realized that, of the people sitting at the table, the non-profit executive director probably made the least amount of money.

I'm afraid I still can't shake the Skinny Puppy image. It's CFNY Chris Sheppard's Friday night dance party all over again (I think only str8 may get that reference, if anyone).
In other words, you're loud, dark and likely to die of a heroin overdose. But a fondly remembered part of my teenage years.

TM, you really think Justin's had a nose job? Interesting. Looking at his parents (aging-well blond and good-looking, if older, black guy), I thought it was probably his own. His too-small nose is the one flaw in his looks. FWIW, I never thought he was white. As for her repertoire, one of his best songs last year was the Al Green classic "Let's Stay Together." What is that if not R&B?
This year's finalists sound miles and miles better than last year's on their group numbers--I guess because this year there are more actual singers. The funny thing is that some of this year's finalists sound way better on the group numbers than in their solos, namely Josh and Trenyce.
I was shocked, I tell you, just shocked that Ruben was in the bottom two last night. My take on the whole thing is basically the same as that article that was linked--Trenyce went one week too early, and it should have been Josh.
I'll have Ruben and Kim on redial next week. Clay doesn't need my help. This week I tried to give him one vote (and 6-8 each for Ruben and Kim) and had the hardest time getting through on his line.

P.S. BRC/DS, I love the Martian avatar.

Going to Extremes

''Idol'''s Kimberly Caldwell gets Fox Sports job. She'll be an on-air personality on extreme-sports show ''54321'' by Gary Susman

FOXY LADY Caldwell will sing for her supper on Fox Sports
Kimberly Caldwell may have been voted off ''American Idol'' a couple weeks back, but Fox is keeping her in the family. Fox Sports Net has hired the blonde Texan as an entertainment correspondent for its extreme-sports show, ''54321.'' She'll be chatting up celebrities at red-carpet events, like this week's ''X2: X-Men United'' premiere in Hollywood, or the upcoming party for the ''Eco-Challenge Playboy Extreme Team.''

I doubt that's the case. I credit a lot of this to the good old animal brain. Like dogs of a pack not taking to dogs of another. There are studies like that.

Thurgreed, yesterday you said that asshole was a gender specific insult, so I can assume that you would never call a woman an asshole. But when you're playing cranky Thurgreed you will insult a woman by saying that her asshole is tight or has a stick up it or some such thing. I haven't noticed whether you say the same to men on the Board. Do you make a gender distinction there?

He's not bright enough to take a consistent position (hence, his need for help through recentering and grade inflation).
I take a consistent position across the board. I can't remember the last time I called a woman an ass or asshole, or said one had a stick up her ass, and the rest. And I thought saying a woman had a tight ass was a compliment anyway, but that's neither here nor there.
My favorite use of the phrase stick up your ass was when one of my 70-something grandpa yelled it at a guy in the crosswalk, got out of the passenger seat and had words with the guy, and held his own fighting the guy.

Use "camp" instead of "team" - the former sounds political, the latter makes you sound racist.
Unless you meant American Airlines, then I agree since I always tell TM to fly Delta.
Or did you mean Alcoholics Anonymous? Cause in that case, woo hoo, my wednesdays are now free and clear.
