It's not like the woman has naturally gone into labor and is delivering. What you are essentially saying is that you'd rather have sharp instruments (hey, maybe like a coat hanger!) jabbing around in a crowded area, possibly hurting the uterus and endangering the mother, than having the same result w/r/t the fetus, but less of a chance of surgical complications.

Step lightly here. This is where the cliff comes up.

Sweet pea, what does this even mean?
And what do you call the abdominal area?

Of course it is, and anyone who opposes abortion during non-viability is a waterhead or ought to mind his own business and keep his religion out of other peoples' lives.

Pryor has said that Gonzales promised not to use a temporary measure found in the U.S.A. Patriot Act to install U.S. attorneys without Senate confirmation. One of the attorneys dismissed is Bud Cummins of Arkansas.
Schumer pointed to an e-mail by former Gonzales chief of staff Kyle Sampson, which laid out a plan to use the provision to circumvent the confirmation process.
"So which is it? Again, did Kyle Sampson put out this memo completely on his own? ... If your chief of staff is implementing a major plan that contradicts what you told the U.S. senator from that state, in my view, you shouldn't be attorney general. And if on the other hand, what you said to Senator Pryor contradicts the plan, you also shouldn't be attorney general," Schumer said.
Gonzales replied: "Mr. Sampson also testified 15 to 20 times in various ways that I either rejected this plan, I never liked this plan, thought it was a bad idea, never considered it, would not have considered it."
"Who's running the department?" Schumer asked.
"Senator, I wasn't aware of this email, but again, I want to be very, very clear about this. I never liked this plan," Gonzales said.
what a douche.

Agreed. And yet he remains AG.
- Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) said today that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’ opening testimony continued "a pattern of not being candid." Specter proceeded to ask the Attorney General to resolve his contradictory statements, noting that he should be able to answer them since he has spent weeks preparing.
Gonzales interjected, "I prepare for every hearing, Senator." A livid Specter responded, "Do you prepare for all your press conferences? Were you prepared for the press conference where you said there weren’t any discussions involving you?"
Gonzales, put on the defensive, conceded, "Senator, I already said I misspoke. It was my mistake." When Specter pressed about the specific question of whether he prepares for press conferences, Gonzales said "we do take time to try to prepare for the press conference."
"Let’s move on," Specter said. "I don’t think you’re not going to win a debate about your preparation, frankly." Gonzales chuckled.
Since Gonzo removed USAs for "performance reasons," why doesn't he remove himself from office?

I was making fun of Ty for saying he was "keen" on abortion. "Keen" is such an odd word to use re the subject. Reminds me of Leave it to Beaver reruns. "Gee Beev, I sure am keen on d & cs."

The thing is, the jabbing around happens with a D&C (dilation & curatage) that is the preferred method for an early term abortion. In fact, with the fetus being much larger than the usual 8 weeks it's easier during the late term dilation and extraction for a doctor to grab onto the fetus, especially with the ultra sound showing where everything is. There aren't tons of cuts and jabs made, anyhow. The fetus is basically quartered. Not minced.

Oh. It came across to me as just really stupid. Thanks for the clarification.
What do you call the abdominal area, if belly and tummy are out?

OK, and quartering inside is somehow better than quartering outside? It seems like things such as position of the fetus, medical conditions of the fetus that alter its anatomy, how the specific woman's uterus and cervix and other organs have positioned themselves in pregnancy, and stuff like that must make intact D&E preferable to non-intact D&E, or there would be no such thing as intact D&E.

Stomach. But remember, I'm also a person who never called his grandparents "Grandma" or "Grandpa." I always err on the side of guttural sounding words. I probably should have been born German.
Except for the fact that I have no work ethic and hate engineering or organizing anything.
Was that ethnically insensitive to Germans? Fucking blonde-headed Leiderhosen wearers.

That seems weird to me, since a stomach is an actual organ, and frequenty what people are referring to with "belly" or "tummy" isn't even where the stomach is -- stomachs are relatively high.
Ahem, there are brunette Germans.

I call that my six pack, which I get from eating sausage.
On your second point, I recall that being true. One of them was famous, too. Escapes me at the moment.

Why must you and everyone else associate that grisly little creep with the Good Doctor's writing?
Call him "Dwarf Eric Estrada" or "Evil Don Ho" or something.

It may be the "right" place, but the Constitution does not make it the only place.
